故事導(dǎo)讀：

很久很久以前，德國的哈梅林小鎮(zhèn)出現(xiàn)了很多老鼠。這些老鼠非常猖狂，讓人們無法正常地生活，于是大家都要求市長想辦法恢復(fù)往日的平靜。正當(dāng)市長為難時，一個穿著花衣服的吹笛人說他能消滅小鎮(zhèn)上的老鼠，但要收一筆酬勞。事情會如此順利地發(fā)展下去嗎？讓我們一起來看看吧！

Long， long ago， but not so far away， there was a town called Hamelin.

The people of Hamelin were angry because there were rats in the streets andthere were rats in the houses.

There were rats all over the town.

So the people went to see the mayor.

"We want you to do something and w. e want you to do it now，" they said.

"The rats have got to go or you will h aye to ，go."

"Oh no，" said the mayor. "Who can help us？"

Just then a man walked to th e mayor.

"I can help you ，" he said. "I can mak e the rats go away.

The man was very tall.

He had a yellow and red coat， a yellow and red hat， and a yellow and red scarf.

In his hand the re was a pipe.

"But how can you make the rats go away？" asked the mayor.

"When I play ru y pipe， all the rats will run after rue，" said th e ruan.

"I will make them jump into the river and then they will be gone for good."

"But I will only play m y pipe if you give me some money，" said the-man.

"Oh， we will give youlots of money，" said themayor. "Just get the ratsout of our town."

So the man went outinto the street.

He blew on his pipeand he looked very happywhen he played and playedand played.

Next the rats came running and jumping out of the houses.

There were big rats， little rats， brown rats and black rats.

There were rats all over the street.

The piper danced down to the river playing his pipe， and the rats went withhim.

When the piper jumped into a boat， the rats jumped into the water.

But the rats could not swim.

The people of' Haru elin were verv

happy because the rats had gone.

So the piper asked for his m oney，but the mayor and his people just laughedat the pip. er.

"We have no money for you，" theysaid.

Then the pipe r was very angry.

He r'an out into the street an d blewon his pipe again.

All the children of Harrielin couldhear the piper playing and they came outof their houses. laughing and dancing.

The piper danced out of the townand climbed up into the mountains.

The children climbed into themountains， too.

The people of Haruelin calledout and tried to stop theru but thechildren could only hear the piper.

The piper and thechildren danced off intothe ruountain. into amagic land.

There was just onelittle boy who could notwalk as fast as hisfriends.

When he got to thetop of the mountain， allhis friends had gone.

So the little boywent back to Hamelinand said， "My friendshave gone to a magic land where they candance and play all day."

"Oh no！" said the ruayor. "We ruust findthe piper and give him his ruoney. It' s theonly way to get our children back."

The people of Hamelin looked here andthere for the piper. But they couldn ' t find thepiper and they couldn' t find their children.The people were very sad.

But the children

were very happy in themagic land.

They danced andplayed all day as thepiper played his pipe.

中文大意

很久很久以前，在離這兒不遠(yuǎn)的地方，有一個叫哈梅林的小鎮(zhèn)。

小鎮(zhèn)里的居民很生氣。因為街上有老鼠，房子里有老鼠。小鎮(zhèn)到處都有老鼠。

于是，人們?nèi)フ益?zhèn)長?！拔覀兿Ｍ鼙M快想辦法解決鼠患問題?！彼麄冋f，“要么讓老鼠離開，要么您離開?！薄芭叮?！”鎮(zhèn)長說，“誰能幫助我們？”

就在這時，一個男子走到鎮(zhèn)長面前。“我能幫助你們?！彼f，“我能讓老鼠離開?！边@個男子非常高。他身穿一件紅黃相間的外套，頭戴一頂紅黃相間的帽子，脖子上還有一條紅黃相間的圍巾。他手中握著一根笛子。

“你怎么讓老鼠離開呢？”鎮(zhèn)長問?！爱?dāng)我吹響我的笛子，所有的老鼠都會跟著我跑?！蹦莻€男子說?！拔視屗鼈兲M(jìn)河里，這樣鼠患問題就解決了?！?/p>

“但只有您給我錢，我才會吹響我的笛子?！蹦莻€男子說?！昂?！我們會給你很多錢?！辨?zhèn)長說，“只要你能將老鼠趕出小鎮(zhèn)。”

那個男子走到大街上。他吹響了笛子。他不停地吹呀吹，看起來非常高興。接著，老鼠們都跑著跳著，從房子里出來了，有大老鼠、小老鼠、棕色老鼠和黑色老鼠。

滿街上都是老鼠。他邊吹著笛子邊跳舞，最后來到河邊，老鼠們?nèi)几?。吹笛人跳上一條船，老鼠們也都跟著跳進(jìn)水里。但老鼠們不會游泳。

沒有了老鼠，哈梅林的人們都非常高興。于是吹笛人索要他應(yīng)得的酬勞，但是鎮(zhèn)長和人們都嘲笑他?！拔覀儧]有錢給你。”他們說。

吹笛人非常生氣。他又走到大街上，重新吹響了他的笛子。

哈梅林所有的孩子都聽到了笛聲，他們笑著、跳著，從房子里出來了。

吹笛人跳著舞，走出了小鎮(zhèn)，爬上了高山。孩子們也跟著爬上了高山。

哈梅林的人們叫喊著，想阻止他們，但孩子們只聽得見笛聲。吹笛人和孩子們跳下山崖，進(jìn)入到一個神奇的地方。

只有一個小男孩走得沒有他的朋友們快。當(dāng)他到達(dá)山頂?shù)臅r候，他的朋友們都不見了。于是，這個小男孩回到了哈梅林鎮(zhèn)。他說：“我的朋友們都去了一個神奇的地方，在那里他們能整天跳舞和玩耍?！?/p>

“哦，不！”鎮(zhèn)長說，“我們必須找到那個吹笛人，并給他應(yīng)得的酬勞，這是讓我們的孩子回來的唯一辦法?！?/p>

哈梅林的人們到處尋找那個吹笛人，但他們沒有找到，也沒有找到他們的孩子，人們都非常傷心。

但孩子們在那個神奇的地方卻非常開心，吹笛人整天吹著笛子，孩子們跟著笛聲跳舞、玩耍。
