Experience precarious times with talents and integrity. The year 2021 is the Centennial birthday of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and also greets the centennial of the CPC's diplomatic work. Over the past 100 years, with the establishment, development and strength-growing of the CPC, the CPC's diplomatic work has played an important role in China's new democratic revolution, socialist revolution and construction, reform and opening up and socialist modernization as well as made important contributions to the national independence, people's liberation, national rejuvenation, world peace and human progress.

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, under the firm leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, the CPC's external work in the new era has comprehensively promoted the following aspects: "grasping political parties, grasping research, grasping connections and grasping images"; has thoroughly expounded the profound connotation and world significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era to the international community; and resolutely upheld the CPC's ruling position and the institutional security of socialism with Chinese characteristics and promoted the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind to constantly achieve new results. Today, the CPC maintains regular contact with more than 600 political parties and organizations in more than 160 countries and regions, and has built an all-dimensional, multi-channel, wide-ranging and deep-seated global party partnership network. The High-Level Dialogue between the CPC and the World's Political Parties was successfully held and has developed into a high-end political dialogue platform with wide representation and international influence. The ideas, stories and contributions of the CPC are becoming more and more popular among the people. The CPC is approaching the center of the world political party stage as never before, contributing thoughts and concepts for the development and prosperity of the world as never before, and providing strength and confidence for world peace and stability as never before.

The most fundamental of these achievements lies in the path-finding provided by General Secretary Xi Jinping as the leader of the CPC, lies in the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, lies in the scientific guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, and lies in basic principles provided by General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on the CPC's external work in new era. Looking back on the historical achievements of the CPC's diplomatic work in the past 100 years, especially since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, we deeply realize that to do a good job of the CPC's diplomatic work in the new era, we must adhere to and strengthen the CPC's centralized and unified leadership, which is the fundamental political guarantee and the greatest political advantage; we must ensure that the CPC's diplomatic work is an important front of the CPC, an important part of the State's overall diplomacy, and the fundamental attribute and position of the major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, closely surrounding the center, serving the overall situation, and always planning and promoting the work from the CPC's position and needs; we must give full play to our unique advantages,deepen our political guidance to the international community, unswervingly safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and promote the construction of a new type of political party relationship and a community with a shared future for human kind; we must emancipate our minds, seek truth from facts, keep pace with the times, constantly deepen our understanding of the laws of the CPC's diplomatic work, and promote the impartiality and innovation in CPC's theory and practice of diplomatic work.

General Secretary Xi Jinping points out: "the Communist Party of China is committed to a grand cause of the Chinese nation for thousand years and is still in prime at the centennial." At the historical intersection of the "two centenary" goals, the CPC diplomatic work ship in the new era is carrying the glory and dream of several generations with unprecedented high spirits, shouldering the historical mission and responsibility of serving the national rejuvenation and promoting the progress of mankind, and setting sails to surge forward to the other side of the community with a shared future for mankind. We will base ourselves on serving the two overall situations of China and the world, and thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, we must adhere to popularize, serve and strengthen the CPC, enhance the "Four Consciousnesses", strengthen the "four self-confidence", implement the "two maintenance", carry forward into the future, and blaze a trail for innovations, so as to make new contributions to starting a new journey to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way and realize the CPC second Centennial goal.
