The National Library of China（NLC） in Bejing， is the national library of the People's Republic of China. With a 5collection of over 37 million items， it is the largest library in Asia and one of the top ten in the world. The National Diet Library is the only national library in Japan and among the largest libraries in the world. It was established in 1948 for the purpose of 7assisting members of the National Diet of Japan in researching matters of public policy.
