Messe München reduces board of management by half
Messe München is restructuring its management: Klaus Dittrich, Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel will head Messe München in future. Falk Senger and Monika Dech will leave the board, but remain in the company in other managerial roles and return to their previous positions as authorised signatories and department heads on July 1, 2021. Gerhard Gerritzen will also leave the management team when he retires on August 1.
The company had already announced at the start of 2021 that it would halve its sixheaded board of management due to a drastic plunge in revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lasting changes brought on by the pandemic have induced Messe München to take comprehensive steps to safeguard the companys future. As part of this process, the company is systematically reshaping its business model, expanding its digital formats and intensifying its focus on customers. At the same time, the company is restructuring its organisation with the aim of increasing agility, flexibility and efficiency.
