2021年11月2日早上，美國(guó)特斯拉公司CEO馬斯克在推特上發(fā)了一首中文詩(shī)，而且還是我們小時(shí)候大都背過(guò)的曹植的《七步詩(shī)》版本之一：“煮豆燃豆萁，豆在釜中泣。本是同根生，相煎何太急？”

相傳，《七步詩(shī)》原本是三國(guó)時(shí)期曹操兒子曹植的一首詩(shī)。曹操之子、魏文帝曹丕嫉妒弟弟曹植的才華，命其七步成詩(shī)，詩(shī)中要包含兄弟之意而不能出現(xiàn)“兄弟”二字，否則就要將其處死。曹植七步內(nèi)作出此詩(shī)，他用同根而生的萁和豆來(lái)比喻同胞兄弟，其中“相煎何太急”這一名句流傳至今。

對(duì)大多數(shù)外國(guó)網(wǎng)友來(lái)說(shuō)，想看懂馬斯克的推文，有一道跨不過(guò)去的坎——翻譯中文古詩(shī)……

有人立即用了推特自帶的谷歌翻譯功能，結(jié)果翻出來(lái)是：Cooking beans and burning beans Osmunda japonica in the cauldron weeping is the same root，so why is it too anxious？

網(wǎng)友推測(cè)后得出結(jié)論：這首詩(shī)是在講怎么煮豆子。有人認(rèn)為，不用谷歌翻譯就對(duì)了，于是發(fā)來(lái)了其他翻譯軟件的譯文：Boil beans and burn beans.Beans cry in the kettle. It’s from the same root. Why are you in a hurry to fry each other？

然而這個(gè)版本的第一句沒(méi)把“豆萁”翻譯出來(lái)，而是成了“煮豆燃豆子”（Boil beans and burn beans.），讀起來(lái)還是很令人困惑。

發(fā)現(xiàn)機(jī)器翻譯不靠譜，也有網(wǎng)友開(kāi)始手動(dòng)翻譯，試圖解釋馬斯克發(fā)這首詩(shī)的用意： Humans are from the same ancestor， why are you so eager to destroy each other？不過(guò)，依然有人表示懷疑：“你這翻譯不對(duì)吧？這明明是講豆子的，怎么沒(méi)有豆子？”

隨著馬斯克這條推文被瘋狂傳播，終于有懂中文和中國(guó)文化的網(wǎng)友出來(lái)科普了。有人連發(fā)三條推文科普起了這首詩(shī)背后的故事。彭博社在報(bào)道中是這樣翻譯此詩(shī)的：Beanstalks are ignited to boil beans， the beans in the pot cry out， we are born of the same root， why should we incinerate each other with such impatience？
