東南大學(xué)建筑學(xué)院副教授、結(jié)構(gòu)建筑學(xué)研究中心主任

對(duì)于技術(shù),既不能輕視,也不必謳歌。審時(shí)度勢(shì)的態(tài)度絕非是在進(jìn)與退之間試圖折衷的無(wú)奈,而是站在更高格局上的總攬,這是作為建筑技藝的一份應(yīng)有的從容!我國(guó)有著傳統(tǒng)木結(jié)構(gòu)營(yíng)造的悠久歷史,但因現(xiàn)代建造的多種需求以及新型結(jié)構(gòu)材料的出現(xiàn),木材逐漸被取代。近年來(lái),隨著建筑業(yè)可持續(xù)、綠色、節(jié)能減碳等概念的傳播,新型工程木材及其木結(jié)構(gòu)技術(shù)重新被認(rèn)知,一系列研究與實(shí)踐正逐步展開(kāi)。本期特邀東南大學(xué)建筑學(xué)院副教授郭屹民和東京工業(yè)大學(xué)環(huán)境社會(huì)理工學(xué)院建筑學(xué)系助理教授平輝作為客座主編,就正交膠合木這種重木結(jié)構(gòu)工程木材的特性、研究、應(yīng)用及建筑學(xué)意義進(jìn)行綜合闡釋。

正交膠合木=CLT,這個(gè)對(duì)于大多數(shù)人而言陌生的名字,卻有著橫貫技術(shù)與情感的能量。正交膠合木一方面保留著木材固有的親近感、輕量化、節(jié)能性、加工性等方面的傳統(tǒng)優(yōu)點(diǎn),同時(shí)又具有防火性、抗震性、均質(zhì)性、不變形等現(xiàn)代化材料的特點(diǎn)。幾乎全能的優(yōu)異特性使得正交膠合木既可以圍護(hù)空間,又能夠承重抗震,同時(shí)又固碳環(huán)保、循環(huán)再生。由此,正交膠合木正迅速成為當(dāng)今建筑材料中的“明星”也就無(wú)需驚訝了??梢哉f(shuō),正交膠合木的出現(xiàn),使得那些彷徨于結(jié)構(gòu)性能與審美情懷間的躊躇不再糾結(jié),同時(shí)也更激起我們對(duì)于木結(jié)構(gòu)這門(mén)古老技藝以新的思考的沖動(dòng)。盡管還是會(huì)不可免俗地落入時(shí)下流行著的“雙碳”印象,但我們的確更為相信正交膠合木作為一種新型木構(gòu)材料,它具有革新木構(gòu)在結(jié)構(gòu)與形式上的既有套路的可能。膠合木作為一種成熟于20世紀(jì)20年代的新型木構(gòu)材料,在其將近百年的發(fā)展歷程中不斷精進(jìn)與完善,卻始終無(wú)法擺脫線性架構(gòu)的形式制約,終于在正交膠合木的橫空出世中得以華麗轉(zhuǎn)身。

本期專輯呈現(xiàn)了來(lái)自于國(guó)內(nèi)外正交膠合木在建筑設(shè)計(jì)、制造生產(chǎn)、法規(guī)建設(shè)等不同視角的發(fā)展情況,為我們從多維視角了解正交膠合木之于建筑設(shè)計(jì)的可能性提供了新的視野!

For technology,we should neither despise nor praise it.The attitude of judging the situation is not the helplessness of trying to compromise between advance and retreat,but the overall view of standing on a higher pattern,which is a proper calm for architectural technique! China has a long history of traditional wood structure buildings,but due to the various needs of modern construction and the emergence of new structural materials,wood has been gradually replaced.In recent years,with the spread of the concepts of sustainability,green,energy conservation and carbon reduction in the construction industry,new engineering wood and its wood structure technology have been recognized again,and a series of research and practice are gradually under way.In this issue,Guo Yimin,the associate professor of the School of Architecture of Southeast University,and Ping Hui,the assistant professor of the Department of Architecture of the Institute of Environmental and Social Science and Technology of Tokyo Institute of Technology,were invited as guest editor-in-chiefs to comprehensively explain the characteristics,research,application,and architectural significance of cross-laminated timber,a kind of mass timber structural engineering wood.

Cross-laminated timber=CLT,a strange name for most people,has the energy of crossing technology and emotion.On the one hand,CLT retains the traditional advantages of wood's inherent closeness,lightweight,energy-saving,machinability and other aspects,but also has the characteristics of modern materials such as fire resistance,seismic resistance,homogeneity and non-deformation.The excellent properties of almost all-around make CLT not only protect the space,but also bear the weight and earthquake resistance,and at the same time,it can also fix carbon,protect the environment and recycle.Therefore,it is no surprise that CLT is rapidly becoming the "star" of today's building materials.It can be said that the appearance of CLT makes those hesitations between structural performance and aesthetic feelings no longer tangled,and it also arouses our impulse to think about the ancient technology of wood structure with new ideas.Although it will inevitably fall into the popular "dual carbon" impression,we do believe that as a new wood structure material,CLT has the possibility of innovating the existing patterns of wood structure and form.Glue-laminated timber(GLT),as a new wood structure material matured in the 1920s,has been continuously refined and improved in nearly 100 years,but it has always been unable to get rid of the formal constraints of the linear structure,and finally turned around magnificently in the emergence of CLT.

This issue presents the development of CLT from different perspectives such as architectural design,manufacturing and production,and regulation at home and abroad,providing us with a new view to understand the possibility of CLT in architectural design from a multi-dimensional perspective!
