It is sunny in the forest today.

Theres a singing contest.

This is Elephant.

He is the judge（裁判員）.

“Lets begin the singing contest now，” says Elephant.

Cow is the first to sing.

“Lets enjoy your song，” says Elephant.

Cow says， “My song is On the Moon（《月亮之上》）. ”

“Moo moo moo！ Moo moo moo！” sings Cow.

Its Birds turn（輪到小鳥(niǎo)了）.

“Bird？ Wheres Bird？” asks Elephant.

“Oh， she is absent（缺席）！” says Sheep.

“You can start， Sheep，” says Elephant.

Sheep says， “My song is Little Star（《小星星》）.”

“Baa baa baa！ Baa baa baa！” sings Sheep.

“You are a good singer！” says Elephant.

Its Cats turn.

Cat says， “I will sing To the Queen（《致女王》）.”

“Miaow miaow miaow！ Miaow miaow miaow！” sings Cat.

“That is a good song！” says Elephant.

“Next！ Your turn， Dog！” says Elephant.

Dog says， “My song is The Big Bone Blue（《藍(lán)色的大骨頭》）.”

“Woof woof woof！ Woof woof woof！” sings Dog.

“Thats very good！” says Elephant.

Bird and Squirrel arrive.

“Is this the singing contest？” asks Bird.

“Yes， but you are late！” says Cat.

“The contest is over（結(jié)束），” says Elephant.

Bird is very sorry.

She looks sad.

“Can you give Bird a chance（機(jī)會(huì)）？” asks Squirrel.

“She practices（練習(xí)）singing everyday.”

“Bird is my friend，” says Squirrel.

“I was sick， Bird took care of me.”

“So she is late for the contest.”

Elephant is moved（感動(dòng)的）.

“Lets enjoy Birds song，” says Elephant.

“Thank you，” says Bird.

“My song is Happy Bird（《快樂(lè)的小鳥(niǎo)》）. ”

“Tweet tweet tweet！ Tweet tweet tweet！ ” sings Bird.

“Bird sings so well，” says Cat.

“And she is so kind and helpful，” says Sheep.

“Yes， she is the best singer，” says Cow and Dog.

All animals choose Bird as the best singer.
