Nancy， Paula， Kate， Lisa， Ada， Monica， Gina， Rita， Polly and Phoebe weregood friends. Everyone in this girlsschool knew them.

“Girls！ The list of places for the mid-term trip has been put up on the noticeboard，”shouted Nancy. Everyone in the class ran out to the notice board rightaway. The next morning they gave in their names for the trek2.

The day arrived in the end. All of them got into the bus and started off alongwith two teachers. The group began its trek from a place called Magra nearMussoorie. Each student was carrying her own bag. Looking from the paths3 of thehills， it was so beautiful. But the path was difficult to walk. They must be verycareful. It was 9 a.m. They had been walking for three hours and started to gettired. The ten girls were right at the back of the group.

“I am feeling very tired. Lets sit for two minutes，”said Ada. “And I want togo to the restroom4， now！ ”said Monica.“OK， we take a two-minute rest，”decidedLisa.“But where should I go？”asked Monica.“The restroom is this way， maam，”said Lisa， looking at a bush5. Everyone laughed.

After a minute， they heard a scream6. It was Monica from behind the bush.“Help！ I am going to fall7，”cried Monica. Everyone ran to her quickly. She had fallenalmost 10 feet below on to a ledge8 and was catching the grass. There was no way thatthey could pull9 her up. They had to think of something fast.

全班立即跑到了布告欄前。第二天早上，她們報(bào)上自己的名字，參加了徒步旅行。

這一天終于到來(lái)了。她們所有人和兩位教師一起搭乘公共汽車(chē)出發(fā)。一行人從穆索里附近一個(gè)叫馬格拉的地方開(kāi)始徒步旅行。每個(gè)學(xué)生都背著自己的包。從山丘的小路上望去，風(fēng)景真是太美了。但這條路很難走，她們必須非常小心。上午9 點(diǎn)，她們已經(jīng)走了三個(gè)小時(shí)，開(kāi)始感到疲憊了。那十個(gè)女孩走在隊(duì)伍最后面。

“我感覺(jué)很累。我們坐下休息兩分鐘吧。”埃達(dá)說(shuō)?！拔椰F(xiàn)在就想去洗手間！”莫妮卡說(shuō)?！昂冒桑覀冃菹煞昼??！丙惿隽藳Q定?！暗俏以撊ツ睦锷夏?？”莫妮卡問(wèn)道?！跋词珠g在這邊，女士?！丙惿粗嗄緟舱f(shuō)道。大家都笑了。

一分鐘之后，她們聽(tīng)到了一聲尖叫，是來(lái)自灌木叢后面的莫妮卡。

“救命！我要摔下去了?！蹦菘ê暗馈Ｃ總€(gè)人都迅速跑向她。她已經(jīng)掉到了將近10 英尺深的巖脊上，抓著草叢。她們沒(méi)法把她拉上來(lái)，必須快點(diǎn)想出辦法。
