Bamboo is a kind of plant. It can be found all over the world.It grows very fast and gets very tall. Some bamboo are taller thana giraffe！

竹子是一種植物。世界各地都能找到它。它長得很快，長得很高。有的竹子比長頸鹿還高！

The most useful part of bamboo is the stem. The stem feelslike a stick. It is very light， but it is quite strong. People usebamboo stems to make kinds of things. They build houses， floors，or small bridges with bamboo. Baskets， tables， chairs， beds， hats，vases， spoons， toothbrushes， bowls， plates， dishes， chopsticks，toothpicks and even bicycles have been made out of bamboo.

竹子最有用的部分是莖干。莖干感覺像根棍子。它很輕，但很結(jié)實。人們用竹竿做各種各樣的東西。他們用竹子建造房屋、地板或小橋。籃子、餐桌、椅子、床、帽子、花瓶、湯勺、牙刷、碗、盤子、碟子、筷子、牙簽，甚至自行車都可以用竹子來做。

Bamboo can also be food.Pandas love to eat bamboo. Butso do people. In many parts ofAsia， bamboo shoots are afavourite food. Bamboo shootsare in some yummy dishes.Fresh bamboo shoots can be seenon the markets in spring. Even theleaves of bamboo are quite useful.In China， zongzi are made withglutinous rice and stuffings likefresh pork， as well as bambooshoots， dried mushroom anddried bean curd. They are sometimes wrappedin bamboo leaves.

竹子也可以作為食物。熊貓喜歡吃竹子。但是，人也喜歡吃竹子。在亞洲的許多地方，竹筍是一種十分受歡迎的食物。一些美味的菜里有竹筍。春天， 在市場上可以看到新鮮的竹筍。即使是竹葉也很有用。在中國，有的粽子是竹葉把用糯米和其他餡料如鮮豬肉、竹筍、蘑菇干和豆腐干包起來做成的。
