在日常生活中，每個人都會遇到一些開心的事。然而，當(dāng)用英語表達(dá)“我非常高興” 時，許多同學(xué)腦海中浮現(xiàn)的往往是“I'm very happy”。事實上，除了這一表達(dá)外，還有許多其他精彩的表達(dá)方法。對此，筆者進(jìn)行了如下歸納，以期對同學(xué)們的學(xué)習(xí)有所幫助。

一、wild with joy

wild with joy意為“高興極了、欣喜若狂”。例如：

We went wild with joy after hearing the good news.

聽到這個好消息后，我們高興極了。

The summer holidays are coming！ The children are wild with joy.

暑假要來了！孩子們欣喜若狂。

二、walk on air

walk on air意為“特別高興，異常興奮”。例如：

Why is Jack walking on air today？

杰克今天為什么特別高興呢？

After joining the school basketball team，I have been walking on air.

加入了校籃球隊后，我一直興奮不已。

三、in seventh heaven

in seventh heaven意為“格外高興，樂翻了天”。例如：

The little girl is in seventh heaven when she has something delicious to eat.

當(dāng)有好吃的東西的時候，小女孩格外高興。

The children were in seventh heaven with the new toys.

有了新玩具，孩子們樂翻了天。

四、be over the moon

be over the moon意為“非常高興，極其開心”。例如：

I was over the moon to get your letter.

收到你的來信，我非常高興。

She was over the moon when she won the first place in the match.

當(dāng)她在比賽中獲得第一名時，她極其開心。

五、be on cloud nine

be on cloud nine意為“極為高興，樂不可支，喜不自勝”。例如：

His father was on cloud nine when John was born.

當(dāng)約翰出生時，他的父親喜不自勝。

The boy was on cloud nine all day，be?cause he got an A in his final exam.

這個男孩一整天都樂不可支，因為他期末考試得了一個A。

六、light up with pleasure

light up with pleasure 意為“喜笑顏開”。 例如：

As soon as the woman sees her son，her face lights up with pleasure.

這個女人一見到兒子就喜笑顏開。

Looking at the gifts in the room，Lucy lighted up with pleasure.

看著房間里的禮物，露西喜笑顏開。

七、on top of the world

on top of the world意為“十分高興，興奮至極，開心得不得了”。例如：

Jane was on top of the world when she passed the driving test.

當(dāng)簡通過駕照考試時，她開心得不得了。

Everything is working smoothly and I feel on top of the world.

一切都很順利，我感到十分高興。

八、be full of the joys of spring

be full of the joys of spring 意為“非常高興，興高采烈”。例如：

For a whole week you are full of the joys of spring.

一整周你都興高采烈的。

Rock has been full of the joys of spring since he got a new job.

自從找到新工作后，洛克一直非常高興。

九、like a dog with two tails

like a dog with two tails 意為“無比高興，開心極了”。例如：

We were like a dog with two tails when

we saw an old friend in the street.

在街上看到一個老朋友時，我們高興壞了。

The old couple were like a dog with two tails when their daughter came back from America.

當(dāng)他們的女兒從美國回來時，這對老夫婦無比高興。

總之，英語中表達(dá)“高興”的方式多種多樣。在平時的英語學(xué)習(xí)中，同學(xué)們既要注意常用詞匯和句型的掌握，又要注意高級表達(dá)的收集和積累，從而豐富詞庫，提升語言表達(dá)能力。
