編者注： 時(shí)代不斷進(jìn)步，可能很多人認(rèn)為“雷鋒精神”熱度已經(jīng)退卻(fade out)。但如今，無(wú)數(shù)英雄就在我們身邊用無(wú)言的行動(dòng)證明了，雷鋒精神并未走遠(yuǎn)，且與時(shí)常新。

He Qiangcheng， a senior and geology major from Sichuan Normal University， has almost given up trying to act like his childhood hero， Lei Feng. He complains， “I once tried to help a woman with heavy luggage， and she gave me a suspicious(懷疑的) look.” “Then another time， when I returned a lost dining card to the canteen(食堂)， the staff asked me to use up(用光) the cash on it rather than bother (費(fèi)心) to find the owner.”

Now， there has been a debate about whether the spirit of Lei Feng lives on， and whether the selfless role model is still valuable in a materialist (物質(zhì)) society.

Some think it out-of-date. “In a world where everyone emphasizes the importance of ‘me’， many of my peers think there’s little ground for giving up one’s interests purely for the sake of (為了) others，” says Lin Zi’en， a student in South China Normal University.

Commentators (評(píng)論員)， however， point out that those who regarded Lei Feng’s spirit as being outdated have misinterpreted (誤解) its meaning. Yang Haibin， deputy (副的) secretary of China Communist (共產(chǎn)黨) Youth League Beijing Committee (委員)， said， “Learning from Lei Feng could be a mutually(雙方的) caring and benefiting act， which is the basis of civilized (文明的) society. It’s also being content with a simple and humble (謙遜的) way of life.” Hu Danhua， an international business major from China University of Political Science and Law， agrees. “I’ve gained peace of mind and spiritual fulfillment through small acts of kindness， such as teaching village pupils. I could obtain it from nowhere else.”

In a society with material abundance (充裕) but a lack of morality， it seems hard to cherish the Lei Feng spirit. Passers-by hesitate to help people in need. Cases that good man have landed in trouble are well publicized (公布). But Liu Jifeng， director of the National University of Defense Technology， says it is important to help others as much as you can. If everyone turns a blind eye to the bad side， our whole social system will be in danger.

On the day of “Learn from Lei Feng Day”， March 5th， Lei Feng’s spirit has been promoted (推廣) in a more approachable (可接受的) way. The campaign slogan of Guangdong Province has been updated from “sacrificing yourself to benefit others” to “doing each other a favor”. In Changsha， Hunan， the hometown of Lei Feng， the slogan is “doing my duty”.

Lei Feng’s followers among the post-80s and 90s generation develop their unique (獨(dú)特的) interpretation and ways of spreading goodwill (友好). Shan Haiping， a student in Zhejiang Ocean University， believes the spirit means doing things you feel worthwhile. Hu Zhongping， a professor of education in South China Normal University， says Lei Feng’s spirit teaches us to be a good person who contributes to society， and encourags those who are self-centered to think more from other people’s perspectives (視角).

何強(qiáng)成是四川師范大學(xué)地質(zhì)專業(yè)的一名大四學(xué)生，他幾乎已經(jīng)放棄以兒時(shí)的英雄——雷鋒為榜樣了。他抱怨說(shuō)：“有一次我想幫一位女士提她那個(gè)重重的行李箱，卻招致懷疑的目光。”“還有一次，當(dāng)我把拾到的飯卡還給食堂時(shí)，工作人員竟讓我把里面的錢花了，不必費(fèi)心尋找失主?！?/p>

現(xiàn)在，一直存在這樣一種爭(zhēng)論：在物質(zhì)社會(huì)中，雷鋒精神是否長(zhǎng)存？這種無(wú)私楷模的形象是否還有價(jià)值？

有些人認(rèn)為雷鋒精神已經(jīng)過(guò)時(shí)。華南師范大學(xué)學(xué)生林子恩說(shuō)：“現(xiàn)在的社會(huì)都很強(qiáng)調(diào)‘自我’意識(shí)，我身邊許多同伴都覺(jué)得沒(méi)什么理由去完全舍己利他。”

而評(píng)論人士則指出，那些認(rèn)為雷鋒精神過(guò)時(shí)的人其實(shí)是誤解了其真正的意義。共青團(tuán)北京市委副書(shū)記楊海濱表示：“學(xué)習(xí)雷鋒可以是一種相互關(guān)心，彼此受益的行為，是文明社會(huì)的基礎(chǔ)，也是對(duì)簡(jiǎn)單且謙遜的生活方式所產(chǎn)生的一種滿足感?！本妥x于中國(guó)政法大學(xué)國(guó)際貿(mào)易專業(yè)的胡丹華對(duì)此表示認(rèn)同：“通過(guò)山村支教這樣的一些小小善舉，我收獲了心靈的寧?kù)o以及精神上的成就感。這是我從其他地方收獲不來(lái)的。”

在一個(gè)物欲橫流卻缺乏道德的社會(huì)里，我們似乎很難去珍視“雷鋒精神”。當(dāng)人們需要幫助時(shí)，路人都為是否出手而猶豫不決，見(jiàn)義勇為者遭遇大麻煩的案例被廣為傳播。但國(guó)防科技大學(xué)主任劉戟鋒認(rèn)為，盡最大力量去幫助他人，這十分重要。如果每個(gè)人都對(duì)陰暗面視而不見(jiàn)的話，我們的整個(gè)社會(huì)都將處于危險(xiǎn)之中。

在3月5號(hào)雷鋒紀(jì)念日，各界采用一種更為大眾接受的方式來(lái)推廣雷鋒精神。廣東省的口號(hào)由“舍己為人”改為“互相幫助”。雷鋒的故鄉(xiāng)湖南長(zhǎng)沙的口號(hào)則是“這是我應(yīng)該做的”。

雷鋒精神的80后、90后追隨者以他們獨(dú)特的方式詮釋善意、傳播善舉。浙江海洋學(xué)院學(xué)生單海萍堅(jiān)信，雷鋒精神就是做那些你認(rèn)為值得做的事。華南師范大學(xué)教授胡中平認(rèn)為，雷鋒精神教導(dǎo)我們要做對(duì)社會(huì)有貢獻(xiàn)的人，可以鼓勵(lì)那些以自我為中心的人更多地去站在別人的角度思考問(wèn)題。
