Jeremy’s father is a semiconductor (半導(dǎo)體) engineer. His mother is a computer software (軟件) engineer. In 1977， they migrated (移民) from Taiwan to California， USA. Jeremy Lin was born on August 23rd， 1988， in California， USA.

林書豪的父親是一名半導(dǎo)體工程師，母親是一名電腦軟件工程師。1977年，他們從臺灣移民美國。1988年8月23日，林書豪在美國加州出生了。

When he was five years old， Jeremy began to play basketball. His father brought him to join in the Children’s Basketball League. But he didn’t fall in love with basketball at the first sight. In that season， he was standing at the center of the playground and sucking （吮吸） his thumb half of the time.

5歲時，林書豪就開始接觸籃球了。他被父親帶去參加兒童籃球聯(lián)賽。不過，他并非與籃球一見鐘情。那個賽季，他有一半的比賽是站在球場中央吮吸大拇指。

Later， his mother didn’t watch him playing basketball any more. Jeremy cordially (誠摯地) invited his mother to come back to the playground. She said that if Jeremy changed his attitude， she would return to cheer him up. Jeremy said right away， “I will try my best to win the scores.” Later， his mother really went back and Jeremy won the highest score under the rule of children’s match.

后來，他的母親就不再去看他打球了。林書豪懇請母親重新回到場邊。她承諾只要林書豪改變態(tài)度，就會去助陣。林書豪當(dāng)即就表態(tài)：“我會拼命，努力去得分?！焙髞砟赣H真的去了，而林書豪也拿下兒童比賽規(guī)則下所能得到的最高分。

In 2006， Jeremy entered Harvard University with almost full mark in SAT. He was the captain of the university basketball team， and he took charge of point guard (控球后衛(wèi)) in the university.

2006年，林書豪以SAT（俗稱“美國高考”）近滿分的成績進(jìn)入哈佛大學(xué)。在校期間他是?；@球隊的隊長，司職控球后衛(wèi)。

After graduation， Jeremy entered the Go-lden State Warriors. However， Jeremy didn’t make a great impression on fans in the days that followed. And then Jeremy entered the Houston Rockets， but it was not long before he was fired. Then Jeremy came to New York and entered New York Knicks. But his fate (命運) was still bad. He was sent to NBA Development League.

At the end of last year， Jeremy went to China and practiced with CBA. His capacity (能力) was obviously (明顯地) higher than domestic (國內(nèi)的) palyers. So many people asked Jeremy to stay in China and their reasons were as follows—His capacity was high and his wage would be higher than that in NBA. And there were so many palyers who were like him in NBA and it was difficult for him to be outstanding.

去年年底，林書豪曾到中國與中國男籃一起訓(xùn)練，能力明顯高出國內(nèi)球員一截。于是不少人都勸林書豪到中國發(fā)展，理由如下：他的能力在CBA算是很高的了，工資可能比在NBA還要高。而且在NBA像他一樣的球員太多，他想出頭都很難。

On Februry 5th， 2012， the two main players were absent (缺席) at the same time in the match against New Jersey Nets. The chief coach had no idea， so he asked substitute (替補(bǔ)) Jeremy to fight. He won 25 scores and gave out 7 assists (助攻) and 5 rebounds (籃板球). He helped his team win the match. All the people were inspired. And it was the beginning of his seven wins.

2012年2月5日，在同新澤西籃網(wǎng)隊的比賽中，紐約尼克斯隊兩大當(dāng)家球員同時缺陣。主教練沒辦法，只好叫替補(bǔ)隊員林書豪上場。他當(dāng)場拿下25分7次助攻5個籃板，幫助球隊獲得勝利，全場都為之振奮！他的七連勝也由此拉開序幕！
