The theme of the 100th anniversary of the Atlanta Olympics is“harmonious， light， elegance”. The Olympics with 100 years， builded the representative form of the architecture of the Olympics birthplace Greece; the five burning stars on the Greek column made of the Olympic Flame， symbolizing the five continents involved; the second five-pointed star deformed to a peace dove， expressing the Olympic ideal of peace; the three eye-catching little stars on the top of the flame， representing the motto of“higher， faster， stronger”.

亞特蘭大奧運百年慶典的主題為“和諧、光芒、優(yōu)雅”。100年的奧運，構(gòu)筑了奧運發(fā)源地希臘建筑的代表形式；希臘柱上燃燒的5顆星構(gòu)成了奧運的圣火，象征著五大洲的參與；第2顆五角星變形為和平鴿，表達(dá)了奧林匹克和平的理想；火焰最上方3顆醒目的小星星，則代表著奧林匹克“更高、更快、更強”的格言。

From the Athens Olympic Games， the emblem as the accessory of the Olympic Games， is the most important tool for image promotion for the host city. After the Tokyo Olympic Games， geometry (幾何體) and line pattern dominated (統(tǒng)治) the Olympic emblems， design roads about 30 years. The two traditions were completely broken by the Spanish. A dot (點)， a hook， a horizontal (橫) flowed freely and easily. After people were tired of complex structure and neat design， they finally found fresh water in the emblem. From the start， the logo design itself has become a sport， a competition. People not only cheered for the athelets， but also began to cheer for the Olympic art.

從雅典奧運會開始，會徽作為奧運會的附屬品，是主辦城市進(jìn)行形象宣傳最重要的工具，幾何體與線條圖案統(tǒng)治了奧運會徽的設(shè)計道路。而西班牙人將這兩項傳統(tǒng)完全打破。隨意涂抹的一點、一鉤、一橫飄逸灑脫，當(dāng)人們厭倦了復(fù)雜的結(jié)構(gòu)、工整的設(shè)計后，終于在這個會徽中找到了清新的水源。從本屆開始，會徽設(shè)計本身也成為了一項運動、一項競賽，人們不僅為運動健兒喝彩，也開始為奧林匹克的藝術(shù)喝彩。
