2.The journal publishes original research results and academic articles focusing on palaeogeography and relevant disciplines by both Chinese and foreign scholars, including lithofacies palaeogeography, biopalaeogeography,stratigraphy palaeogeography, tectonopalaeogeography,physiogeographic palaeogeography, human history palaeogeography, past and present environments and human civilization, sedimentology, sedimentary environments,sedimentary facies, geochemistry, palaeoecology, ichnology, palaeoclimatology, palaeotectonics, palaeoseismology, palaeokarst, palaeosol, basin analysis, prediction and exploration related with oil, gas, coal, and other mineral resources.It provides a platform for deepening studies of palaeogeography and academic exchanges, and thus can facilitate the development and innovation of palaeogeographic research both in China and abroad.

3.The Editorial Committee ofJournal of Palaeoge?ographyis the academic reviewing, decision-making and assurance body for academic affairs.It is composed of Chinese and foreign experts in palaeogeography and relevant academic disciplines.It includes an Editor-in-Chief, several Associate Editors-in-Chief and a number of Editorial Committee members.The Editor-in-Chief is an expert from China University of Petroleum (Beijing).The Associate Editors-in-Chief and members of the Editorial Committee are invited by the Editor-in-Chief.The Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Committee members all have a term of 4 years and can be reelected.

6.Obligations and rights of Editorial Committee members ofJournal of Palaeogeography.

(1)Attending the meetings of the Editorial Committee ofJournal of Palaeogeography.Define and decide the aims, main tasks of the journal and its development direction.Review the academic level ofJournal of Palaeoge?ographyand its published articles.Evaluate the work of Editorial office ofJournal of Palaeogeographyand offer constructive comments and suggestions.

(2)Organizing, writing, recommending and reviewing manuscripts forJournal of Palaeogeography.

(3)In order to achieve a high academic level forJour?nal of Palaeogeography, each of the committee members is required to write or recommend one high academic level paper for the journal each year.

(4)Have the priority to obtain all the copies ofJournal of Palaeogeographyfree of charge.
