新高中英語課程標準強調(diào),在教學過程中既要注重語言基礎訓練,更要注重培養(yǎng)學生的英語交際能力。2012年秋季學期,廣西開始實施高中新課程改革,在教學實踐與探索中,筆者有以下感悟:在高中英語教學中,教師要突出一個“用”字,牢牢抓住“運用語言”這條主線,貫徹“即學即用”的教學原則。教師應積極為學生創(chuàng)造感知和運用英語的機會,促使其主動在實踐中學習和運用英語。在平時的教學中,筆者主要通過以下方法促使學生在“用”中“學”,以“用”促“學”。
一、用所學詞匯、短語、句型等造句
在課堂上,筆者要求學生用所學詞匯、短語、句型等進行造句。學生進行造句練習的過程,其實就是信息加工與信息輸出的過程。此舉能使學生加深對所學語言知識的理解,使其牢固掌握詞匯、短語、句型等的意義與用法。此外,學生能夠成功運用所學知識造句,會使其產(chǎn)生成就感,能激發(fā)學生的學習興趣。
例如,教學《英語》(必修3)的Unit 3 The Million Pound Bank Note時,筆者選出本單元學習的重點短語(bring up,make a bit,go ahead,by accident,stare at,account for,on the contrary,in rags,as for),要求學生用這些短語造句。學生所造的句子內(nèi)容豐富,且非常貼近生活。學生們用短語bring up造出了以下句子:(1)Marys parents died from a traffic accident when she was 5 years old.The poor girl was brought up by her grandparents.(2)Our head teacher brought up a new question at the class meeting yesterday.(3)I was brought up in a small village.(4)He was brought up by a famous teacher and he can do well in all subjects.
二、用英語作值日報告
在課前5分鐘,筆者要求學生用英語作值日報告(用約10句英語講述),要求在報告中使用本單元出現(xiàn)的詞匯、短語和句型。此舉能同步培養(yǎng)學生的英語書面表達能力和英語口語表達能力,鍛煉學生“在眾人面前開口說英語”的膽量,同時可以對所學知識進行有效復習。用英語作值日報告使學生有“書到用時方恨少”的感覺,使其能夠清晰地看到自己的學習效果及存在不足,一種無形的學習動力也隨之產(chǎn)生,促使其綜合運用語言的能力不斷增強。筆者的一名學生作了以下英語值日報告。
Good morning,my dear classmates.
Im on duty today.As for my duty report,Ill tell you something about my favorite writer,Mo Yan,who has just won the Nobel Prize for literature.He was born in a poor family and brought up in a small village.As a boy he was always in rags,went hungry and had a little education because his family was poor.He didnt give up studying,on the contrary,he studied harder by listening to stories,telling stories,teaching himself literature.During the period of his army life,he began to take a chance to write stories.Gradually,his novels were issued and became popular among readers.At last,in 2012,he became the first Chinese who won the Nobel Prize.His great success in literature accounts for his hard work and confidence.I admire him very much.Thats all.Thank you! 可以看出,這篇值日報告里引用了不少短語,其中 as for,in rags,brought up,to take a chance, accounts for是剛學的短語,很明顯,學生做到了即學即用。
三、用英語寫日記
每結束一個單元的學習,筆者會讓學生用英語寫一篇日記,要求學生將自己在本單元中學到的句型、短語、單詞等用于寫作。寫作是信息輸出的高級形態(tài)之一,剛開始時,學生往往會感覺比較困難。于是,筆者遵循循序漸進的原則,起始階段只要求學生寫幾個英語句子即可,然后逐漸增加篇幅,一個學期之后,發(fā)展到寫約100個單詞的短文。筆者的一名學生撰寫了以下英語日記。

When I sought something in my box yesterday,I spotted a picture of my beautiful birthplace by accident.It reminded me of my hometown where I was brought up.There are many tall trees and mountains that I used to take a chance to climb up and stared at the nightfall on the top of the mountain.The people there are friendly and kind.They are always ready to help those who are in trouble.There are also many delicious foods such as “Yuntun” and so on.The air is always fresh and the sky is blue.I can make a bet with you that if you go there you will love it.
不難看出,在這篇日記里,這名學生使用了8 個在《英語》(必修3) Unit 3 The Million Pound Bank Note中所學的詞匯和短語。學生寫日記的過程,其實也是復習和鞏固所學知識的過程。
總之,筆者在教學中運用造句、作值日報告、寫日記等一系列信息輸出活動,促使學生在“用”中“學”,以“用”促“學”,收到了較為理想的教學效果。
