英語中多數(shù)口語習(xí)語的功能都是單一的,例如How are you?How do you do?表示問候,Goodbye用于道別。但有些習(xí)語是多功能的,例如Sure. 可以表示①應(yīng)答或同意,意為“當(dāng)然”、“可以”,等于Certainly.或Of course;②回謝,意為“不客氣”,等于Not at all. 或Youre welcome. 下面就介紹一些這類多功能口語習(xí)語供學(xué)習(xí)參考。

①對(duì)How are you?這類問候語的回答。
—How are you getting on these days?
—All right, thanks. How about you?
②All right可以相當(dāng)于Are you well問別人身體狀況。

③用于表示對(duì)建議或計(jì)劃的同意。
—Shall we go to town this afternoon?

④相當(dāng)于Certainly表示“當(dāng)然”,有時(shí)與but連用。
