Are you trying to figure out[想出] how to make the most of[充分利用] this summer? Well, summer can be either the most boring or most exciting time of the year. It all depends on if you make the most of it. These tips can aid you in having a productive[多產(chǎn)的], enjoyable, and regret-free summer vacation.
1. Wake up early. Nothing eats away[腐蝕,消耗] at summer break like moping[悶悶不樂] around beneath the covers. Decide the previous day when you will get out of bed, then make sure to follow through.
During the first few weeks of vacation, chances are that you will relish[喜歡] the opportunity to sleep in[睡過頭]. Its okay to do this and give yourself a break, because your body will naturally put itself on a schedule[時(shí)刻表] to wake itself up earlier.
2. Maintain good health and hygiene[衛(wèi)生]. Brush your teeth and bathe often. Make sure to use sunblock[防曬霜]. Summer is a great time to get in shape[處于良好狀態(tài)], or stay in shape. Consider joining a summer sport, or at the very least get outside and have fun every day.
3. Clean your room. It may take a while to get your room ready for school. It will be worth it though when you are not losing important papers. Plus, your parents will see that you are more mature[成熟的] when they see that you cleaned your room without them threatening[威脅] to take away your cellphone.
4. Study. Look over last years notes, or do some research into what next years courses have in store[將發(fā)生]. When school resumes[重新開始], youll be glad that your academic[有關(guān)學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)的] knowledge and skills have not deteriorated[使惡化].
Do your summer assignments[課外作業(yè)] in a timely[適時(shí)的] manner and review your notes. You will be grateful when you return to school! Most of the time, the first few weeks of school will be quite a surprise, as your brain has seemingly turned to mush[糊狀物] and you have forgotten how to do even the simplest assignments. Keep your brain active, read for school or pleasure, research your own interests, or even just get into crossword puzzles[縱橫拼字謎].
5. Read some books while youre not at school. There are books out there that are really interesting. You can even organize a book club for your friends. The club can meet weekly, bi-weekly or as often as you want. Incorporate[加入] snacks, activities, and occasional field
trips[(學(xué)生)實(shí)地考察旅行] for the most fun.
6. Join a volunteer group of some sort. All communities[社區(qū)] have some sort of soup kitchen注, or you can start being a candy striper[醫(yī)院的志愿工作者] or help out around your community. Stay in contact with friends, have a great sense of accomplishment[成就], stay active, and even help others!
7. Start a summer business. This may differ depending on your age. However, make sure that it is age-appropriate[適當(dāng)?shù)腯 and that you will follow through. Some ideas include a lemonade[檸檬水] stand[攤], babysitting, lawn care, or getting a summer job at a local library or restaurant.
8. Go to camp and learn something new. If you have always loved basketball, why not try swimming, rock climbing, or even art at a summer camp? If you love languages, why not try learning sign language[手語]? Learn to write, draw, make photo albums, knit…The list goes on and on. Try something different that you know nothing whatsoever about, and you will gain a new skill and possibly find a lifelong love. Another upside[優(yōu)勢] is that you have a lot of time to practice and put your skill to use!
9. Spend some time with your friends. This is a sure-fire[一定能成功的] way of making sure you dont lose touch with your pals over the summer. Yes, texting is okay, but to really make good memories and great bonds[聯(lián)結(jié)] with your friends, you need to go do things together. Cookouts[在野外煮食物], swimming, playing volleyball, going to your local river to fish, shopping at the mall, and other things are great ways to hang out with your friends.
10. Spend time with your family. This is a great thing to do. Your parents and siblings[兄弟,姐妹] will always be there for you if you have a good relationship with them. Even something simple like eating dinner together can make your relationship closer with your family.
