詞形變換是中考英語中一個常見題型，它所涉及的形式主要包括：名詞的單復數(shù)及所有格，代詞的主格和賓格以及相應的物主代詞形式，數(shù)詞的適當形式（基數(shù)詞和序數(shù)詞），動詞的正確形式（單數(shù)第三人稱、過去式、過去分詞、現(xiàn)在分詞），非謂語動詞（尤其是不定式和動名詞），形容詞和副詞的比較等級，等等。

詞形變換題一般有三種出題形式：第一種是根據(jù)所給出的要求變換詞形；第二種是根據(jù)句意用括號內所給詞的適當形式填空（這是全國各地采用最多的命題形式）；第三種是在括號內給出漢語，要求考生根據(jù)句子意思及所給漢語提示，寫出空缺處單詞的正確形式。第一種題型，即根據(jù)括號內的要求變換詞形，比較簡單，要做好它主要靠平時多積累。第二、三種題型則較為復雜，它不僅涉及詞語的正確形式，而且還涉及句意和語法等多個方面。

做好該類題應注意以下三點：一是要通讀全句，弄清句意；二是要弄清所給單詞的詞義、詞性以及具體要求；三是要考慮到所填詞在特定語境中的用法以及相關句子結構對它的限制。
