美國(guó)節(jié)日面面觀

美國(guó)的節(jié)日很多，既有圣誕節(jié)、萬(wàn)圣節(jié)這種“地球人都知道”的節(jié)日，也有許多不為同學(xué)們所熟知的節(jié)日。那么我們就一起搜羅一下美國(guó)下半年里有哪些這樣的節(jié)日吧。

Independence Day獨(dú)立日

Independence Day is one of the m ajor1U.S.legal2holidays,July 4, America’s most important non-religious holiday,the equivalen t3of other countries,“National Day”.On this day,there are often large-scale fireworks,concerts and parades4and the contests of eating watermelons and eating hot dogs.These lively activities often attract men and women,old and young.

獨(dú)立日是美國(guó)主要法定節(jié)日之一。獨(dú)立日定在7月4日，為美國(guó)最重大的非宗教節(jié)日，相當(dāng)于其他國(guó)家的“國(guó)慶日”。在這一天一般會(huì)舉行大規(guī)模的煙火表演、音樂(lè)會(huì)和游行活動(dòng)，還有吃西瓜、吃熱狗大賽。男女老少常常會(huì)被這些熱鬧的活動(dòng)所吸引。

Labor Day勞動(dòng)節(jié)

It honors1all working peop le in the U.S.and Canada.It began with a New York City parade in 1882 and is now celebrated on the first Monday in September.It doesn’t have the same time as our country.Now Labor Day is considered more as the last summer.A lot of peop le with their family travel and enjoy a wonderful holiday in the countryside.All organs2, schools close.In some areas people will hold fireworks party or free barbecue3dinner.The bosses of company often ask their emp loyees4to have a picnic.

該節(jié)日的設(shè)立是為了表示對(duì)美國(guó)和加拿大所有勞動(dòng)人民的尊敬。它始于1882年紐約市游行，現(xiàn)在定為每年9月的第一個(gè)星期一，這與我們中國(guó)的勞動(dòng)節(jié)時(shí)間不同。現(xiàn)在，勞動(dòng)節(jié)更多被認(rèn)為是夏日的尾聲，很多人舉家出行，在郊外享受美好的假期。所有機(jī)構(gòu)、學(xué)校都不開(kāi)門，一些地區(qū)會(huì)舉辦焰火晚會(huì)或者免費(fèi)的燒烤聚餐,公司老板也往往邀請(qǐng)他們的員工去野餐。
