在書面寫作中，常會用到某些具有話題引入作用的短語或句型，來順利過渡到將要談及的話題，從而增強(qiáng)前后內(nèi)容的銜接性與連貫性。這類話題引入語一般翻譯為“談到、說起、論及”，話題被引入后，說話者會就這一話題陳述某種客觀事實(shí)或發(fā)表個人看法。常用的引入語有以下幾種：

coming to

Coming to the question of marriage， I have something to say. 談到婚姻這個問題，我有一些要說的。

Coming to details， thirty students have failed to pay attention. 說到細(xì)節(jié)，有三十位同學(xué)忽視了。

Coming to the next step， a further discussion seems necessary. 談到下一步驟，進(jìn)一步的討論看來是有必要的。

talking/speaking of

Ill give a prize to the best idea. Talking of good ideas， heres one to break the ice at a wedding party. 我會給最好的創(chuàng)意以獎勵。談到好創(chuàng)意，這里倒有一個創(chuàng)意可以活躍婚禮上的氣氛。

Talking of the football match， our team was rather disappointing. 談到足球賽，我們隊(duì)的表現(xiàn)令人相當(dāng)失望。

Theres plenty of time to drop hints for Christmas presents. And speaking of presents， we have 100 exclusive fragrance collections to give away. 有充分時間來暗示需要什么圣誕禮物。談到禮物，我們有100種高檔香水要送出。

Speaking of money， have we paid our credit card bills yet？ 說到錢的事，我們支付了信用卡賬單了嗎？

when it comes （down） to

When it comes to holidays， I prefer something lazy. 說到度假，我寧愿選擇懶散一些的方式。

When it comes to politics/repairing cars， I know nothing. 說到政治/修車，我是一無所知。

Joe is not good at sports， but when it comes to mathematics， he is the best in the class. 喬在體育方面不行，但說到數(shù)學(xué)，他是全班最好的。

Knowing such things isnt much help when it comes down to shopping and eating. 說到購物和吃喝，知道這些事情就沒有什么用處了。

while we are on the subject of

While we are on the subject of money， have you got the ￡10 you owe me？ 既然我們談到了錢的問題，你欠我的那10英鎊現(xiàn)在能還我嗎？

While we are on the subject of the party， will you come to it？ 我們正談到晚會的事情，你來參加嗎？

如果引入的是一個被中斷的舊話題，可用getting back to/to get back to/to return to，一般翻譯為“回到、返回至”，例如：

Getting back to our story， the princess was killed， but a witch brought her back to life. 回到我們剛才的故事，公主被殺了，但女巫使她復(fù)活了。

To get back to/To return to our subject， the farmer had a daughter. 回到我們之前的話題，那個農(nóng)夫有個女兒。

最后需要說明的是，上文中作狀語的coming to、talking/speaking of、getting back to和to get back to/to return to均為用作獨(dú)立成分的非謂語動詞，已經(jīng)具備了介詞的某種性質(zhì)，其邏輯主語一般為說話者本人或互知的會話雙方，所以并不需要遵循“非謂語動詞作狀語時其邏輯主語通常應(yīng)與句子主語保持一致”的一般性規(guī)則。
