2016中國國際友好城市大會(huì)主題：創(chuàng)新發(fā)展、合作共享

讓城市人民生活更美好，是全球城市管理者共同的夢(mèng)想。當(dāng)下，國際友好城市工作正以與時(shí)俱進(jìn)的積極行動(dòng)和永無止境的創(chuàng)新思維，不斷發(fā)現(xiàn)新動(dòng)向，把握新規(guī)律，多領(lǐng)域、多渠道、多層次開展城市間友好交流，開拓友好城市工作的新模式。

為進(jìn)一步推動(dòng)我國國際友好城市活動(dòng)科學(xué)、有序、健康發(fā)展，加強(qiáng)中外地方政府對(duì)話與合作，提高我國地方對(duì)外開放水平，服務(wù)我國總體外交，經(jīng)中央批準(zhǔn)，“2016中國國際友好城市大會(huì)”由中國人民對(duì)外友好協(xié)會(huì)、中國國際友好城市聯(lián)合會(huì)、重慶市人民政府主辦，重慶市人民政府外事僑務(wù)辦公室承辦?！按髸?huì)”于2016年11月9日—11日在重慶悅來國際會(huì)展中心舉行。

本屆大會(huì)主題為“創(chuàng)新發(fā)展、合作共享”。

Co-sponsored by CPAFFC and CIFCA, the China International Friendship Cities Conference (hereafter shortened as CIFCC) has been held biennially ever since 2008. It aims to connect China with other countries in the world, speed up the development of local economies and the whole country, strengthen the exchange and cooperation between friendship cities and drive this undertaking forward to a brighter future.

With concerted efforts of all parties involved, the CIFCC has grown up to be an internationally influential forum where we have discussions about the establishment of friendship cities and where Chinese and foreign local governments communicate. It also serves as a crucial gateway through which other countries could get in touch with Chinese local governments. Up till now, each conference has been honored by the presences of leaders from Chinese government (mostly leaders from various local governments and department of foreign affairs) and major politicians and former politicians from dozens of foreign countries (including representatives of local provincial and municipal governments and of other international organizations).

The CIFFC consists of many sub forums where these representatives both from home and abroad could exchange their opinions on extensively discussed social issues concerning their own cities so that practical cooperation could be achieved between them and actual benefi ts could be produced from cityto-city diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy. Besides, the conference also covers the signing ceremony of newly bonded friendship cities and award presenting activities for friendship cities which have done an outstanding job.

The CIFFC has been held in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Guangzhou for four times in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014 respectively.

It is the common dream for cities administrators worldwide to lead their people towards a better life. Currently, the friendship cities are, under the guidance of innovative thinking, actively taking actions consistent with international environment so they could sense new trends of advancement, catch hold of new rules, explore new modes for the establishment of friendship cities and conduct friendly exchanges between cities in various kinds of fi elds and layers via diversifi ed channels.

In order to promote the scientific, orderly and healthy development of the friendship cities activities, improve the level of dialogues and cooperation between Chinese and foreign local governments and upgrade our reform and opening-up level so as to support our diplomatic affairs as a whole, the 2016 China International Friendship Cities Conference, with the approval from the Central Committee and under the sponsorship of the CPAFFC, CIFCC and Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, is going to be organized and held on September 9-11, 2016 at Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center by the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Offi ce of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government.

“Innovation for Development and Cooperation for Sharing” will be the theme of this conference.
