劉墉:山水傳情獻(xiàn)故鄉(xiāng)

你有沒有聽過每隔五分鐘就一次高潮,時(shí)而爆笑時(shí)而唏噓、持續(xù)整整兩個(gè)多小時(shí)的演講?

這就是4月16日下午,浙江省人民大會(huì)堂的劉墉2017大型公益演講《不瘋魔,不成活——我困頓中對(duì)文學(xué)和藝術(shù)的領(lǐng)悟》。

“很多人以為我做過很多演講,其實(shí)錯(cuò)了?!眲④f,“這是我今年的第一場(chǎng)。我再過一年多,就70歲了,真不知道還能夠做幾場(chǎng)這樣的演講。”

他親切地稱觀眾“鄉(xiāng)親”

祖籍浙江臨安的劉墉,尤其看重在杭州的這場(chǎng)演講,因?yàn)檫@是他的回鄉(xiāng)之旅,所以他開場(chǎng)白也是充滿鄉(xiāng)情的:“各位杭州的鄉(xiāng)親,下午好!”

2010年秋,劉墉第一次來到臨安尋根祭祖。按照中國傳統(tǒng)宗譜,劉墉本姓姚。民國時(shí)期臨安縣有一任民事長,叫姚筱樓,劉墉是他的嫡孫。民事長大抵相當(dāng)于如今縣長職級(jí),在當(dāng)時(shí)算是不小的官員。劉墉的乳名叫小毛?!澳憧矗詈筮@個(gè)名字就是劉墉的。”劉墉表親周元憲指著姚筱樓墓碑上左下方家屬的名字介紹。

“劉墉的母親是我的親姑姑,我姑姑有6個(gè)兒子,劉墉最小,在臺(tái)灣出生后沒幾年,姑夫去世,劉墉過繼給一位北京籍的劉姓大戶,從此就姓劉了?!卑粗茉獞椊榻B,劉墉的親生父親就是錦城街道勝利村人,原來住在府前路一帶,就是現(xiàn)在綠城錢王文化廣場(chǎng)的位置。

2016年5月,劉墉再次回鄉(xiāng)祭祖的畫面至今還在臨安親友的印象中。

祭祖的時(shí)候,劉墉忍住腰部的不適,堅(jiān)持行跪拜磕頭大禮。上一次祭祖時(shí)劉墉也是如此,很多人還記得,當(dāng)時(shí)劉墉磕完頭后,腦門和雙膝都沾著淺淺的泥沙。這一次,細(xì)心的表兄沈阿茍準(zhǔn)備了一塊墊子。劉墉第一次試圖跪下時(shí),沒有成功。頓了頓,他用手輕撫腰部,揉了幾下,再慢慢屈膝,跪下,叩頭,完成這些平時(shí)看來簡(jiǎn)單的工作顯得有些艱難。

“沒有爺爺哪有我啊,必須跪,必須磕頭?!眲④f著,目光如炬,語氣柔軟而堅(jiān)毅,呈現(xiàn)出與溫潤外表的極大反差。沈阿茍取出紙錢給劉墉燒,劉墉怯怯地問:“這個(gè)就不用燒了吧,不環(huán)保啊?!?/p>

雨后的青山湖被薄霧籠罩,對(duì)岸紅瓦白墻安靜地站著,沿湖春柳拂堤,鳥鳴山幽,綠樹葳蕤,不時(shí)有人從樹叢中走出來,又消失不見,垂釣者隱身在某棵樹下,等待魚兒上鉤。這些場(chǎng)景,一一被劉墉收入畫筆之下。

一旁站著的劉墉夫人畢薇薇,忙前忙后,遞筆,扶紙,甚至和旁人一樣,拿起手機(jī)給劉墉拍照。如果不是鮮艷亮眼的紅色外衣將她與其他人區(qū)隔,你不會(huì)知道,這是和劉墉結(jié)婚已經(jīng)整整45年的發(fā)妻。

這一次,劉墉說自己是懷著求教和感恩的心來杭州的。他細(xì)數(shù)了自己這一路走來幫助過他的“貴人”,其中包括介紹他去了美國的前臺(tái)北歷史博物館館長何浩天、帶他認(rèn)識(shí)收藏家的鄰居家的一位管家、浙江美術(shù)館館長斯舜威、即將與他一起步入金婚的夫人畢薇薇以及一直以來支持他的所有讀者們……

“我以我手書畫我心”

4月18日,劉墉畫展開幕式之火爆,連媒體采訪時(shí)間都擠掉了,只留下記者們站在外圍,望著黑壓壓的人頭興嘆。

很多人看過劉墉的書,卻不知道他還畫畫,實(shí)際上,畫畫才是他的“專業(yè)”。劉墉是臺(tái)灣師范大學(xué)美術(shù)系的高材生,還是臺(tái)灣山水及花鳥走獸大師黃君璧、林玉山的入室弟子,曾舉辦個(gè)展30余次,作品被海內(nèi)外許多博物館收藏。

這次,他的畫、他的書都來了。

浙江美術(shù)館舉辦的“書卷江山——?jiǎng)④髌氛埂笔莿④诖箨懪e辦的迄今為止規(guī)模最大、門類最全的藝術(shù)大展,展覽分為“師古篇”、“山水園林篇”、“花鳥翎毛篇”、“現(xiàn)代水墨篇”、“寫生研究篇”五個(gè)部分,呈現(xiàn)了劉墉繪畫作品120組(件),涵蓋其各個(gè)時(shí)期的代表作。

走進(jìn)展廳之前,很多劉墉的資深書迷一定會(huì)停下腳步,大廳前一排展柜里放著的都是當(dāng)年溫暖過我們的劉墉著作《螢窗小語》、《超越自己》……劉墉的文字溫暖過很多很多人:“風(fēng)大時(shí),要表現(xiàn)逆的風(fēng)骨;風(fēng)小時(shí),要表現(xiàn)順的悠然。”

微博上,粉絲都叫他“墉爸”,因?yàn)樗傁裎覀冃跣踹哆兜母赣H,始終放心不下你,一見面就跟你講道理:“不是教你詐,是教你認(rèn)清人性,不可因?yàn)樗麄兊暮?,忘了他們的壞;不要因?yàn)樗麄兊膼海怂麄兊纳?。”有多少人是讀著劉墉的書長大的?有多少深入淺出的人生道理,你厭倦了父母講的,卻愿意一個(gè)人在夜晚的燈下讀劉墉。

展覽結(jié)束后,這些著作將全部捐贈(zèng)給浙江美術(shù)館,入庫美術(shù)文獻(xiàn)中心,成為浙江美術(shù)館首個(gè)“名家個(gè)人專庫”。

劉墉的畫要細(xì)細(xì)品讀,他經(jīng)常以文學(xué)入畫,畫中有詩,情趣盎然。本次展覽中,專門在重點(diǎn)作品下配置了“讀畫框”,放置相應(yīng)的劉墉文章和解讀文字,讓觀眾得以更好地理解畫意,走進(jìn)劉墉繪畫世界。

劉墉說過,他喜歡在畫里講故事。拿《龍山寺慶元宵》來說,八尺大的畫,上面的人物只有指甲蓋大小,街頭巷尾都是情節(jié),細(xì)得像《清明上河圖》一般,一看就停不下來。劉墉說:“我從小有哮喘不耐煙熏,所以父親總帶我匆匆繞一圈……唯有過年時(shí)的花燈會(huì),我賴著不走?!?/p>

畫上,人群熙熙攘攘,角落里坐著乞丐。劉墉說:“記得路邊有一個(gè)乞丐,父親把錢放到我手上,叫我給他。叮囑我不能扔下去,而是要蹲下,把錢輕輕放進(jìn)他的碗里?!边B街頭小店的招牌和宣傳廣告也是記憶中的?!叭肆π麄鬈嚭蛷V告牌上寫著,‘五毒白骨鞭及‘里見八犬傳,都是當(dāng)年我最愛的電影?!?/p>

他的一生也在他的畫中:兒時(shí)隨著父親釣魚;13歲時(shí)家中失火,與母親在草房棲身;17歲時(shí)因病休學(xué),在家中作畫……

問劉墉,您是作家還是畫家?劉墉說,“哪個(gè)都不選,我是‘生活家。我只是把我生活中的感觸,很實(shí)實(shí)在在地寫出來?!?/p>

The two-hour speech of Taiwan artist and essayist Liu Yong at Zhejiang Great Hall of People in Hangzhou on April 16, 2017 was full of jokes, insights and wits that brought down the house. “If you think I am good at making a speech and have made many like this, you are wrong. This is my first one for this year. Im turning 70 next year, and how many speeches I will be able to make in future is numbered.”

Born in Taipei, Liu Yong greeted the audience in Hangzhou with great excitement because his ancestral roots were in Linan, a county-level city tugged away in mountains close to the downtown of Hangzhou. He made his first root-seeking visit to Linan in the fall of 2010, and revisited it to worship his ancestors in May, 2016. Genealogically, his original surname was ‘Yao and he is a grandson of Yao Xiaolou, a county magistrate in the Republican Period of China (1911-1949). He was adopted by a man surnamed Liu, after his father – a Linan native, died only a few years after he was born in Taiwan.

“I am what I am because of my grandfather,” said Liu Yong, getting down on his knees and his eyes sparkling with determination and devoutness during his visit to the ancestors tomb in Linan. When the time came to burn paper money, however, the man hesitated and declined out of environmental concern.

During the revisit, the artist had a great time painting the mesmerizing beauty of the Qingshan Lake, enjoying the sweet company of his beloved wife Bi Weiwei. It has been 45 years since the two tied the knot.

With a Baccalaureate degree from the Faculty of Arts of the National Taiwan Normal University and a Doctorate from Columbia University, Liu Yong became the school artist of St. Johns University (Jamaica, NY) in 1980. Widely known as a writer and a best-selling author, Liu Yong is also a consummate art professional, learning from such masters as Huang Junbi (1898-1991) and Lin Yushan (1907-2004). His art works are collected by a dozen museums at home and abroad.

His Hangzhou art exhibition at Zhejiang Art Museum – the largest one he has held in the Chinese mainland, drew a huge turnout that left media representatives slack-jawed. The exhibits included a collection of the mans heartwarming literary works that have lit up the life of numerous readers.

The best way to savor his art works is to put them together with his essays for a better understanding. The paintings displayed at the exhibition were laid out with corresponding essays.

All exhibits of the exhibition have been donated to Zhejiang Art Museum as the museums “Masters Collections” has just started.

Painting is his favorite way of telling stories, as is fully shown in , in which Liu Yong records the festivity in great detail just like the Northern Song painting master Zhang Zeduan depicted in . In the painting, Liu relived fond childhood memories in all the colorful shop signs, advertising boards and rickshaws carrying posters of popular films such as and .

“My father always had to make sure that I stayed away from smoke and fire because of my asthma, but the lunar year Lantern Festival was an exception and I could always make the best of my time there.”

From his paintings, one can also take a glimpse at what the man went through in his life – how his home was destroyed in a fire and the days he and his mother spent in a thatched cottage; and his absence from school due to health problems at the age of 17.

“I am a man of life,” he shot back when asked if he is an author or painter, adding that “I am just recording how I feel about my real life.”
