Comparing with other teachers, Mr. Moore pays more attention to his way of teaching. He tries various of ways to make his classes lively or interesting. In his opinion, he should not only know“what”, but also understand“why”. However, instead of giving us answers immediately, he encourage us to think by ourselves whenever he puts forward questions. With his help, weve learned how to analyze and settle problems. How a wonderful world of“why”he leads us to!

Moore。
1. to→for 對于某個年齡來說,應(yīng)該用介詞for。
另外,compared with(與……
6. he→we 根據(jù)文意,是“我們(學(xué)生)”應(yīng)該不僅要……
7. However→So/Therefore 承接前文,此處是因果關(guān)系,不是轉(zhuǎn)折意義。
9. How→What 感嘆句型,其后中心詞是名詞,應(yīng)該用What。
10. 在such和learned之間加a因person為可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)形式,應(yīng)有不定冠詞。
Dear Jim,
Its great to hear from you. I feel proud to know youre interested in Chinese history, especially Wei Yuan, a great thinker in the late Qing Dynasty. And I will introduce you something about him.
He, in his book, Haiguo Tuzhi (Maps and Records of the World), introduced modern technologies and ideas to China. That opened our eyes to the world. In fact, he inspires me to major in English in college, to be a bridge between China and the world.
Are you interested in knowing more?I can find you some books! Just let me know.
Cheers!
Yours,
Li Hua
