3 In high school, Carl got a job at a local car parts store. He also started doing repairson the side, but it just wasnt serving his passion for business ownership. So, he opened hisown auto repair shop, Allambys Auto Service, at the age of 19.
4 In 2006, Carl enrolled in college at the age of 34 at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike,Ohio. Originally, his plan was to pursue a business degree. However, a biology course requirementturned out to be much more than a class. It was a small step towards his childhooddream.
5 In 2010, Carl started to take premedicineclasses at Cuyahoga Community College, inCleveland, Ohio. From there, he became an active volunteer at local hospitals and completed?hours of shadowing the medical environment before enrolling in medical school at NortheastOhio Medical University in 2015.
6 Carl graduated from medical school at the age of 47 and started his emergency medicineresidency in 2019 at The Cleveland Clinic in Akron. He never let his age cloud his vision.As a husband, father of four, and business owner, he said he was laserfocusedas amedical student.
