On June 8， the British Consulate-General in Chongqing held The Kings Birthday Party Celebrating King Charles Ⅲs Coronation.

Wang Yu， Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Chongqing Committee， attended and addressed the event. He noted that the United Kingdom is an important cooperation partner in economy， trade， and people-to-people exchanges for Chongqing in Europe. In 2022， the total import and export volume between Chongqing and the UK had been RMB11.7 billion， topping among European countries. And a large number of British companies with sound development， have invested and carried out business in Chongqing. In the future， it is expected that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in fields including the digital economy， modern service industry， and new energy. And enriched people-to-people exchanges will also be held in fields including education， science， and culture to promote better understanding between two peoples.

Stephen Ellison， the British Consul-General in Chongqing， is about to complete his post. He noted that the Consulate-General， since its opening in 2000， has been devoted to promoting the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in various fields such as digital transformation， modern service industry， energy， education， and sports. He believed that the new Consul-General would come to Chongqing with new efforts and ideas and continue to promote practical cooperation between the two sides as always.

6月8日，英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館在渝舉辦英國國王生日酒會暨慶祝加冕招待會。

市政協(xié)副主席王昱應(yīng)邀出席并致辭。他表示，英國是重慶在歐洲重要的經(jīng)貿(mào)人文合作伙伴。2022年，重慶與英國進出口總額117億元，居歐洲國家前列；一大批英國企業(yè)在渝投資興業(yè)，發(fā)展良好。未來，期待雙方繼續(xù)深化在數(shù)字經(jīng)濟、現(xiàn)代服務(wù)業(yè)、新能源等領(lǐng)域產(chǎn)業(yè)合作；積極在教育、科技、文化等領(lǐng)域開展豐富多彩的人文交流，不斷增進雙方民心相通。

英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事史云森即將離任。他表示，英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館自2000年正式開館以來，一直致力于推動英國與重慶在數(shù)字化轉(zhuǎn)型、現(xiàn)代服務(wù)業(yè)、能源、教育、體育等各領(lǐng)域交流與合作。期待下任總領(lǐng)事帶著新的活力與想法來渝履職，繼續(xù)推動雙方務(wù)實合作。
