Chinese Have Books, But Not Read
More than three decades into China's economic reform period, the Chinese market is awash in books: The country now boasts the world's largest publishing industry by volume, with 8.1 billion books printed in 2012, but Chinese people's interest in them has not kept up.Chinese people read 4.39 books per capita in the past year, a figure that trails far behind major developed countries. On average, Chinese people allocated just 15 minutes a day to reading.

經(jīng)過30多年的經(jīng)濟(jì)改革,中國市場充斥各種書籍:從數(shù)量上看,中國擁有世界最大的出版業(yè),去年出版各類圖書81億冊,但是,民眾對它們的興趣卻沒有跟上。去年中國人均閱讀4.39本紙質(zhì)圖書,這一數(shù)字遠(yuǎn)低于主要發(fā)達(dá)國家。中國人每天用于讀書的平均時間僅為15分鐘。

Millionaires Group Shows Slow Growth
With the world's second-largest economy in the midst of an extended slowdown, growth in the population of Chinese millionaires has fallen to its slowest pace in five years, according to a new report from wealth research firm Hurun Research Institute and media firm Group M Knowledge.The number of Chinese people boasting personal wealth of at least 10 million yuan hit 1.05 million in 2012, up 3% over the previous year, according to the report.
千萬富豪人群增速下降
財(cái)富研究公司胡潤研究院與媒體公司群邑智庫聯(lián)合發(fā)布的一份新報告顯示,由于中國這個世界第二大經(jīng)濟(jì)體正處于長期減速過程中,中國千萬富豪的人口增速降至五年來最低水平。報告顯示,個人財(cái)富至少為人民幣1,000萬元的中國人在2012年達(dá)到105萬,較上年增加了3%。

China Will Be The Largest Petroleum Importer
U.S Energy Information Agency reported that with Chinas petroleum demand increasing and U.S petroleum production going up, China will replace U.S becoming the largest net petroleum importer in October, 2013. In 2014, Chinas annual petroleum import volume will surpass U.S and the gap between the two countries will keep growing. The reasons for such a change includes Chinas growing demand for petroleum, Americas increasing petroleum production and its weak market performance.

美國能源信息局(EIA)說,隨著中國需求的增長和美國產(chǎn)油量提高,中國將于2013年10月超過美國,成為世界最大的石油凈進(jìn)口國。2014年,中國的年度石油凈進(jìn)口量將超過美國,兩國間的差距還將繼續(xù)拉大,造成這一變化的原因包括中國需求的穩(wěn)步增長,美國石油產(chǎn)量提高,以及美國市場需求疲軟。

Middle-aged Chinese Women Help Stabilize Gold Price
Gold demand in China hit a record of 385.5 metric tons in the second quarter, double the figure from a year earlier. Analyst said Chinese consumers are the main gold buyers, among which middle-aged Chinese women are a key segment of retail demand. Chinese purchases have helped keep gold prices stable while gold prices were going down and investors were dumping gold.

With the firs-generation business owners approaching the age of retirement, in the coming three to eight years, 3 million private business owners will have to decide on their successors. This phenomenon happened everywhere, but due to lack of qualified professional managers and worry about business controlled by non-family members, many family businesses are unwilling to hire a non-family member, which imposes a threat to China.

隨著中國第一代企業(yè)主已到退休年齡,未來3至8年,300多萬家私企將不得不應(yīng)對接班人問題。這并非中國特有現(xiàn)象,但由于欠缺職業(yè)經(jīng)理人、家庭擔(dān)心企業(yè)受制于人而不愿聘請外人,這個問題尤其對中國構(gòu)成風(fēng)險。很多獨(dú)生子女在海外接受教育,無意接手家族企業(yè)。

More Difficulty In Putting Learning Into Practice
Chinese graduates this year reached 7 million, setting a new record, however, Chinas economy is slowing down, resulting in less job opportunities for these graduates. The poor job market future forced some graduates to enter some working field where no diploma is needed. News about graduates becoming baby-sitters, servants, clown, masseur, butcher and engaged in livestock herding, making noodles and being a porter is not new.

今年畢業(yè)的中國大學(xué)生以近700萬的人數(shù)創(chuàng)下新高,但中國經(jīng)濟(jì)正在放緩,導(dǎo)致需要大學(xué)文憑的就業(yè)崗位減少。黯淡就業(yè)前景已迫使一些大學(xué)畢業(yè)生闖進(jìn)幾乎無需任何文憑的領(lǐng)域。有關(guān)他們當(dāng)保姆、女傭、小丑、按摩師、屠夫,乃至從事家畜養(yǎng)殖、做面條或當(dāng)搬運(yùn)工的新聞已屢見不鮮。
