[摘 要]As是每年英語高考的熱點(diǎn)，常出現(xiàn)在完形填空中，或出現(xiàn)在詞匯語法部分，讓許多考生頭疼。其實(shí)，as本身沒有多少實(shí)在含義，但它的詞性較多，也可以搭配成許多詞組，并可引導(dǎo)多種從句， 英語學(xué)習(xí)者非常容易混淆。

一、as...as引導(dǎo)比較狀語從句

as...as意為“和……一樣”，表示同級(jí)的比較。使用時(shí)要注意第一個(gè)as為副詞，第二個(gè)as為連詞。其基本結(jié)構(gòu)為：as+ adj./ adv. +as。如：

This film is as voilent as that one.

This book sells as well as that one.

其否定式為not as/so +adj./ adv. +as。如：

This painting is not as/so valuablel as you think.

若有修飾成分，如a quarter，half ，twice， three times等，則須放在第一個(gè)as之前。如：

Your apartment is twice as expensive as mine.

二、引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句

作“在……期間，當(dāng)……的時(shí)候”引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句。注意與when，while的用法區(qū)別

1.下列情形時(shí)，只用as， 而不用when或while。（1）表示同一個(gè)人的兩種動(dòng)作同時(shí)進(jìn)行，指“一邊……一邊”。 如： The girl speaks as she has dinner. （2）表示不同的人和物同步發(fā)生的動(dòng)作，指“隨著……”。如： As time passed on / by， he became stronger and stronger.

2.while和as從句的謂語動(dòng)作必須是和主句謂語動(dòng)作同時(shí)發(fā)生，when從句的謂語動(dòng)詞可以在主句謂語動(dòng)作之前、之后或同時(shí)發(fā)生。（1）從句動(dòng)作發(fā)生在主句動(dòng)作之前或后，只用 when。如：

She had a rest ，when she had finished her housework.（finished先發(fā)生）When I came back，the guests had left already.（come back后發(fā)生）（2）主從句動(dòng)作同時(shí)發(fā)生，且從句動(dòng)作為延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞時(shí)，when，while，as都可使用。When /While /As we were singing，a stranger came in.（sing為延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞）When /While /As she was doing her homework，a call was ringing.（do為延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞）

三、引導(dǎo)原因狀語從句

as，because，since都可以表示因果關(guān)系，連接原因狀語從句，含義是“因?yàn)椋捎凇?，但它們有區(qū)別：because語氣最強(qiáng)，常用來回答why的提問；since?？勺g成“既然”；as一般放在句首，語氣較弱。如：

He was late because his father was seriously injured.（因?yàn)椋?/p>

Since you have known the secret，what will you do with it next.（既然）

As it rained last night， the gound was wet.（因?yàn)椋?/p>

四、引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句

as與although ，though，however ，no matter how，等都可以引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，含義是“雖然，盡管”，但它們有些區(qū)別：although語氣稍正式些，可放在句首，也可放在句中，主句中不能再用but，但可以用yet；as引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句一定用倒裝語序；however引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句時(shí)，它的后面常跟形容詞或副詞，However +adj/adv +主語+謂語， 主句。如：

Although my grandfather is 70 years old， he still rides bike every day.

Strange as the ending may seem， the book sells well.

However hard he worked， he couldnt finish it on time.

5.引導(dǎo)方式狀語從句，作“正如，（如）像：解。如：

When at Rome，do as Romans do.
