Our world was very colorful, beautiful and full of life in the past. But these years, it has a lot of changes. People have built many buildings and factories along rivers. Many trees have been cut down. I think people and factories cause these terrible pollution problems. Lots of people throw out litter everywhere. Factories pour much polluted water into rivers or produce lots of waste gas into the sky. Now rivers and the air around us have become polluted. Our environment is getting worse and worse.
Nowadays, a new lifestyle called low carbon life is very popular with the people in our country. It means low carbon and low energy and no waste. And I hope people can walk or take buses to work instead of taking cars. Because cars not only cause serious air pollution but also waste energy. As students, we should turn off the lights when we leave, turn off the tap in time, and reuse our textbooks and so on. We had better not use plastic bags any more. No one can stand the “white pollution”. In a word, all of us should put the low carbon lifestyle into practice.
