進入21世紀,科學(xué)技術(shù)迅猛發(fā)展,國際細化分工不斷強化,經(jīng)濟全球化趨勢日益強烈。由于科技產(chǎn)業(yè)結(jié)構(gòu)的轉(zhuǎn)變,社會對高技能應(yīng)用型人才的需求不斷增加,對其質(zhì)量也有了更高的要求。中等職業(yè)教育顯然是不能具備培育職業(yè)精英這一能力的,因此,職業(yè)教育就必須發(fā)展高等職業(yè)教育。然而,高技能應(yīng)用型人才的培養(yǎng)是一個系統(tǒng)工程,更是一個循序漸進、由低級到高級的過程,它對基礎(chǔ)生源的要求有別于普通高等教育——它要求基礎(chǔ)生源既要有一定的文化基礎(chǔ)又要有相應(yīng)的專業(yè)知識和技能,而中等職業(yè)學(xué)校的畢業(yè)生基本符合此要求。中等職業(yè)教育與高等職業(yè)教育銜接,促使職業(yè)教育畢業(yè)生在文化基礎(chǔ)知識、專業(yè)理論水平和專業(yè)實踐能力等方面長效發(fā)展,不但能夠解決中等職業(yè)教育再度提高問題,從而促使整個職業(yè)教育體系的不斷完善,同時也為高等職業(yè)教育提供理想的生源。
