如今，對外貿(mào)易在國家或地區(qū)的經(jīng)濟發(fā)展中發(fā)揮著越來越重要的作用。要實現(xiàn)經(jīng)濟快速發(fā)展，必須學會利用國際國內(nèi)兩個市場。通過對外貿(mào)易，進行物產(chǎn)的互通有無，從而實現(xiàn)資源的優(yōu)化配置。本文通過介紹外貿(mào)單證詞匯術(shù)語和常用句子，以及外貿(mào)單證文本，讓讀者對外貿(mào)單證的文體結(jié)構(gòu)和英漢對比有一個總體認識。

一、什么是外貿(mào)單證

外貿(mào)單證所涉及的單據(jù)和文件，也就是指在國際結(jié)算中應用的單據(jù)、文件和證書，憑借這種文件可以處理國際貨物的支付、運輸、保險、商檢、結(jié)匯等。 外貿(mào)因其特殊性，需要不同于一般的單據(jù)，主要是運輸單據(jù)，包括提單、商業(yè)發(fā)票、匯票、裝箱單、產(chǎn)地證等。國際商會《跟單信用證統(tǒng)一慣例》對國際貿(mào)易中的單據(jù)和支付等問題進行了規(guī)范。 常見的外貿(mào)單證有：一是資金單據(jù)：匯票、本票和支票、信用證；二是商業(yè)單據(jù)：商業(yè)發(fā)票、海關(guān)發(fā)票；三是貨運單據(jù)：海運提單、租船提單、多式運輸單據(jù)、空運單等；四是保險單據(jù)；五是其他單證：商檢單證、原產(chǎn)地證書、其他單據(jù)（寄單證明、寄樣證明、裝運通知等）。

二、常用外貿(mào)詞匯和用語

（一）常用詞匯

A.

（三）常用外貿(mào)用語翻譯舉要

1. How should we define the inspection rights?

譯文：商檢的權(quán)力怎樣加以明確呢？ （將主動句譯為被動句，改變譯文的主語，將英文的“we”省略不譯。）

2. 我擔心對商檢的結(jié)果可能會有一些爭議。

譯文：What I'm worried is there might be some disputes over the results of the

inspection.（“對……有爭議”disputes 后面的介詞永遠使用over 。）

3. We'll accept the goods only if the results from the two inspections are identical with each other.

譯文：如果雙方兩次測驗結(jié)果不一致，我方拒絕收貨。（該句是正反表達法，英語是正面表達，漢語從反面表達。）

4. 貨到后進口商有權(quán)復驗。

譯文：The importers have the right to re-inspect the goods after their arrival. （英語習慣把需要重復的名詞

用代詞來表達。）

5. 通常證明書是用中文和英文開具的。

譯文：As a rule, our certificate is made out in Chinese and English. （“用……文字開具的”使用be made out in…）

6.你們還要出具另一份證明書，以證明貨物沒有受到放射線污染。

譯文：You may have another certificate showing the goods to be free from radioactive

contamination. （此句是反正表達法，漢語從反面表達，英語從正面表達，英文中沒有使用否定詞，但是free from 是語義否定。）

7. 貨物只有在符合出口標準之后，商檢局才予以放行。

譯文：Goods must be up to export standards before the Inspection Bureau releases them.（漢語中的……之后……才……，在譯文中使用了before…，這樣才符合譯語的表達習慣。）

8. 我方的商檢局將出具動物檢疫證明書以證明貨物符合出口標準。

譯文：Our Inspection Bureau will issue a Veterinary Inspection Certificate to show that the shipment is in conformity with export standards.（“出具”在英語譯文中選詞采用issue, “證明”引申使用show來表達，在這里更加貼切。）

9. 我們有最好的公證行，即中國進出口商品檢驗局。

譯文：We have the best surveyor, China Import and Export Commodity Inspection Bureau. （該句省略了“即”的英譯。）

10. 阻止商品在國家間自由流通的另一個障礙是可能設(shè)置人為的貿(mào)易壁壘，如關(guān)稅或配額。

譯文：Another impediment to the free flow of goods between nations is the possible introduction of artificial barriers to trade such as tariffs or quotas. （這里的國家強調(diào)的是人、國民，因此不使用between countries。）

三、結(jié)語

單證是指進出口業(yè)務中使用的各種單據(jù)和證書，買賣雙方憑借這些單證來處理貨物的交付、運輸、保險、商檢和結(jié)匯等；單證員的主要工作有審證、制單、審單、交單和歸檔等一系列業(yè)務活動，它貫穿于進出口合同履行的全過程，具有工作量大、涉及面廣、時間性強和要求高等特點。翻譯外貿(mào)單證要使用專業(yè)術(shù)語，遵循程式化的固定表達方式。
