Don't Work for Money

My advice to all of you is, don't work for money, —it will wear out①wear out 磨損，耗盡；穿破；使精疲力竭fast, or you'll never make enough, and you'll never be happy, one or the other.

You have to find the intersection②intersection 英 [?nt?'sek?(?)n] 美 [,?nt?'s?k??n] n. 交叉；十字路口；交集；交叉點(diǎn)of doing something you are passionate③passionate 英 ['p??(?)n?t] 美 ['p???n?t] adj. 熱情的；熱烈的，激昂的；易怒的 ④prof i ts 美 ['prɑf?t] n. [會(huì)計(jì)] 收益，紅利；盈利（prof i t的復(fù)數(shù)）about and at the same time something that is in the service of other people.

I would agree that, if you don't fi nd that intersection, you're not going to be very happy in life.

There's a big difference between loving to work and loving the work. And there's a big difference between whether you fall in love with some work that is just for prof i ts④and revenues⑤revenue ['rev?nju?] n. 稅收，國家的收入；收益and work that is in the service of others. And so I feel very strongly about that.

I've been very fortunate⑥fortunate 英 ['f??t?(?)n?t] 美 ['f?rt??n?t] adj. 幸運(yùn)的；僥幸的；吉祥的；帶來幸運(yùn)的to wind up with an incredible⑦incredible 英 [?n'kred?b(?)l] 美 [?n'kr?d?bl] adj. 難以置信的，驚人的company where I am very passionate about what we do and it also stands at the exact⑧exact 英 [?g'z?kt; eg-] 美 [?ɡ'z?kt] adj. 準(zhǔn)確的，精密的；精確的vt. 要求；強(qiáng)求；急需vi. 勒索錢財(cái)intersection of my values.
