Unsurprisingly the Blue Caves owe their name to their spectacular blue waters and are one of the most famous natural attractions on Zakynthos. Some caves can only be visited by boat while others are only accessible to expert swimmers and divers.

多塞特(Dorset)是位于英格蘭西南英吉利海峽沿岸的一個郡，郡治為多切斯特，人口約701,900。

扎金索斯島(Zakynthos)面積402平方公里，人口約3萬。其西部為荒涼的石灰?guī)r山地(海拔200—500米)，有許多下沉山洞和陡立海崖，最高峰弗拉希奧納斯海拔756米。中央為肥沃平原，東部有低丘。主要城市扎金索斯位于東岸。南岸海灣深曲、懸崖峻拔。島名取自一位阿卡迪亞(Arcadia)首領(lǐng)。公元前5世紀歷史學(xué)家修斯提底斯稱此島是由伯羅奔尼撒半島的亞該亞人(Achaean)開拓的。
