管永雙和妻子李云杉都是四川美術(shù)學(xué)院畢業(yè),學(xué)習(xí)工藝設(shè)計陶瓷專業(yè),同班同學(xué),標準的90后。
在上學(xué)時,管永雙第一次跟隨老師到榮昌采風(fēng),就被榮昌上好的陶土驚艷到了。
“這里的陶土細膩,能做出上等陶藝作品?!庇谑?,2014年畢業(yè)后,管永雙和妻子毅然來到榮昌區(qū)專心陶藝。兩人開始在一家制陶廠做設(shè)計,工作之余師從榮昌陶非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)傳承人張俊德,學(xué)習(xí)榮昌陶的制作工藝。
一年后,小兩口在安富街道通安村的一個山坡上租了民居,改造成工作室開始自己燒窯制陶。
Both Guan Yongshuang and his wife Li Yunshan graduated from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, majoring in ceramics process design. They were classmates and both born in 1990s.
When he was at school, Guan Yongshuang was amazed by the superior argil in Rongchang when he followed his teacher to tour and investigate there.
“The argil here is fine and smooth and it can be used to make first-class ceramic works.”
So, after they graduated in 2014, Guan Yongshuang and his wife decided to come to Rongchang to concentrate on the ceramics. At first,they worked in a ceramics factory as designers. After work, they learned from Zhang Junde, inheritor of Rongchang ceramics intangible cultural heritage to study the workmanship of Rongchang ceramics.
One year later, the young couple rented dwellings on a hillside of Tong’an Village, Anfu Street and reconstructed it into studio to start kilning and making ceramics.
重慶榮昌陶與江蘇宜興紫砂陶、云南建水陶、廣西欽州坭興陶并稱“中國四大名陶”,也是國家級非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn),具有“紅如棗、亮如鏡、薄如紙、聲如罄”的特點。一件榮昌陶器制作需經(jīng)過制胚、裝窯、燒窯三個部分,歷時三個月時間。
李云杉在窯前添柴,窯火溫度的變化將影響作品的色澤變化
一件陶藝作品在管永雙手中慢慢成型
3月27日,在我們來的前一天,小兩口剛剛將制作好的1000多件陶胚放進窯里燒制。他們采用傳統(tǒng)的柴窯燒制,需要半個月的時間。在這期間需要日夜不停地守著窯,添加柴火,并且隨時關(guān)注窯里的溫度變化。加柴的速度和方式、薪柴的種類、溫度變化、天候的狀況、空氣流量等細微因素,都會影響窯內(nèi)作品的色澤變化。這些既需要技藝和經(jīng)驗,也需要汗水和毅力。
我們見到管永雙時,他剛剛守了一個通宵,妻子李云杉搭個板凳坐在窯前,邊添柴火邊聽丈夫給我們講榮昌陶的制作技藝。
添柴火的洞口,距離她只有一米多的樣子。三月天,戶外的氣溫雖只有10來度,但是只穿一件襯衣的李云杉依然額頭汗水直流?!耙窍奶欤路惶於际呛顾萜鸬?。”
Chongqing Rongchang Ceramics, together with Jiangsu Yixing Purple-grit Ceramics, Yunnan Jianshui Ceramics and Guangxi Qinzhou Nixing Ceramics are renowned as “Four famous ceramics in China”. As national intangible cultural heritage, it has the characteristics of “as red as date, as bright as mirror, as thin as paper,as resonant as a chime”. The fabrication of a piece of Rongchang ceramic works has three processes: embryo making, kiln placing and kiln firing, which usually takes about three months.
On March 27, the day before we came, the young couple just placed the fabricated 1,000 embryos into the kiln for firing. What they adopt is still the traditional firewood kiln firing and it will take half a month. During the period, they should watch the kiln night and day to add firewood and observe the temperature change in the kiln. The firewood adding speed and way, category of firewood,temperature change, climate condition, air flow and other subtle factors will all influence the color and luster change of the ceramic works in the kiln.All of these require skills and experience, sweat and perseverance.
When we met Guang Yongshuang, he had just stayed up all night and his wife took the turn to watch the kiln by sitting on a wooden bench in front of the it. While adding the firewood, she also listened to her husband to tell us about the fabrication skills of Rongchang ceramics.
It was only one meter away from the mouth of the kiln to her. In March, the outdoor temperature is only about 10oC, but Li Yunshan was sweating all the time even if she was only wearing a shirt. “In summer, our clothes are as wet as if it is soaked in the sweat,” she told us.
小夫妻的“通安小棲”和院子里的樹屋
沿著燒陶的工作室往上走上大約兩百米,一座青磚綠瓦的小院掩映于一片橙林之中,這是夫妻倆的“通安小棲”,現(xiàn)在被他們設(shè)計成了陶文化主題民宿,“希望更多的年輕人能夠喜歡,發(fā)現(xiàn)榮昌陶的美。”
來訪的客人可以體驗陶藝制作,也可以收藏喜愛的陶藝品
進得主廳,茶室里擺滿了精美的榮昌陶工藝品,來訪客人可以收藏喜愛的陶藝品,也能夠親身體驗制陶燒陶的樂趣。
除了制陶愛好者的到訪,平時通安小棲只有夫妻兩人。加上制陶時間長,離不開人,夫妻倆也極少外出,過著“結(jié)廬在人境,心遠地自偏”的“隱居”生活。
“并不會覺得辛苦或者孤單,反而會很享受。”李云杉說,“安安靜靜做陶,認真做自己喜歡事,完成自己滿意的陶藝作品,就是非常令人開心的?!?/p>
If we walk up along the studio, a small courtyard in black bricks and green tiles will come into view.This is the living room which they call it “Small world for peace”. Now it has been designed into ceramics culture theme dwellings. “We hope that more young people will like it and discover the beauty of Rongchang Ceramics,”he expressed his wishes.”

After entering the main hall, we will see that the tearoom is placed with exquisite Rongchang ceramic works. The visitors may collect the ceramic works they like and experience the fun of making ceramics and kilning personally.
Except that ceramics making amateurs may visit here occasionally, the young couple are alone most of the time.Due to the long ceramics making time, and a person is required to watch the kiln, the couple seldom go out and they live a “secluded”life, like what is described in the poem“building his house in the fairyland away from the world and enjoy the peaceful and reclusive life.”
“We don’t think we are laborious or lonely, instead, we enjoy it very much,” Li Yunshan said. “Making ceramics quietly, doing things you like and finishing the ceramic works you are satisfied always enrich our life and make us happy.”
