嘉興南湖，一碧千頃，浩浩蕩蕩。作為景點，南湖曾以煙雨樓最負盛名，明代大戲曲家湯顯祖數(shù)次來嘉興，留下了“年來更夢誰邊好，煙雨樓西看石帆”的詩句。

然而今天的人們，說起嘉興，最先想到的卻是南湖紅船。因為有一群年輕人，在1921年南湖的一條游船上開啟了一段嶄新的歷史。這條見證了中國歷史上開天辟地的大事變的游船，被后來的人們稱為紅船。百年烽煙早已散盡，滄海桑田換了人間，而紅船的精神在這個大地上綿延不絕。

The Red Boat of the South Lake comes to mind when Jiaxing is mentioned. A pleasure boat on the South Lake witnessed the birth of the Communist Party of China in 1921， setting in motion a series of epoch-making changes which eventually led to the birth of the Peoples Republic of China. The pleasure boat has long since been called the Red Boat. It signifies the heroic fight Chinese people waged under the leadership of the CPC against all the humiliations， wars， injustice， feudalism， poverty. It glorifies all the epoch-making changes that have transformed China. The spirit of the Red Boat will be kept alive forever.
