We have often seen on the film screens stories about gun battles in Chicagos streets and we know little about the citys rich culture life.
In fact, it has one of the first class symphonies in the US and it has always been producing world famous singers and jazz greats.
Museums are its another cultural establishment. The University of Chicago, famous for sociologists, economists and Nobel Prize winners, is one of 50 colleges and universities in the city.
The former worlds tallest skyscraper, Sears Tower, is also there. The Chicago Herald Tribune Building looks much more magnificent with the lights on at night. The two splendid towers of Marina City are called “A Pile of Pennies” by the English and “Ears of Corn” by the Americans because of the way they are built.
