Plot：

The Pursuit of Happyness is based on the true story of a famous black investor expert Chris Gardener （starred by Will Smith）. It described the hard journey of Chris Gardener， a San Francisco salesman struggling to build a future for himself and his 5-year-old son Christopher and finally obtained1 a position as a stock broker and became rich and happy. This inspiring movie contains many positive worldviews such as diligence2， faith， father-and-son bond and pursuit of happiness and so on. As a result of the meaningful theme and excellent acting， this film enjoyed great popularity since its release in December 2006.

《當(dāng)幸福來(lái)敲門(mén)》是根據(jù)著名的黑人投資專(zhuān)家克里斯·加德納（威爾·史密斯飾演）的真實(shí)故事改編而來(lái)。它講述了克里斯·加德納這個(gè)來(lái)自舊金山的底層銷(xiāo)售員是如何奮力為自己和五歲的兒子打拼并最終成為股票經(jīng)紀(jì)人過(guò)上富裕幸福生活的艱難歷程。這部勵(lì)志大片向我們傳遞了很多積極的世界觀比如說(shuō)勤奮、信念、父子情和追求幸福等等。該片主題深刻經(jīng)典，演員演技卓絕，因此自2006年12月上映以來(lái)一直很受歡迎。

Chris Gardener was a bright but unlucky salesman. He worked hard from morning till night but still failed to make much money. In 1981， he invested all his money to buy a kind of medical equipment. Unfortunately， those equipment were expensive but useless， making it hard for Chris to sell. As a result， his wife Linda had to take full responsibility for supporting the family. At last， Linda couldnt bear the pressure of poverty and left home for NewYork alone. Chris， therefore， became a single father raising his 5-year-old son on his own.

With the failure of his business， Chris had no money to pay for the rent. So， they were forced to move out of the flat and became homeless. They slept in the church， in the public bathroom or anywhere they can find. Despite3 all the difficulties， Chris never gave up his belief and strongly believed that happiness would come one day if he worked hard enough today.

克里斯因生意失敗付不起房租所以從租房里被趕出來(lái)了，寄居在教堂，公共廁所或任何一個(gè)能找到的地方。盡管困難重重，克里斯卻從來(lái)沒(méi)有氣餒并堅(jiān)信只要努力工作幸?？傆幸惶鞎?huì)降臨。

Luckily， Chris accidentally won a six-month internship4 at Dean Witter which is a famous stock brokerage. The problem is that there was no pay at all during the six months and only one of the 20 people could survive the fierce5 competition. Chris had to struggle for making a living， taking care of his son and fighting for the job at the same time. But Chris took a positive attitude toward this， making phone calls， learning from others and constantly improving himself. Through his amazing willpower6 and hard work， Chris finally got the position. Whats more， Chris opened his own company and became a millionaire and since then he and his son enjoyed a happy and satisfactory life.

幸運(yùn)的是克里斯偶然獲得了在著名證券機(jī)構(gòu)丁·威特實(shí)習(xí)六個(gè)月的機(jī)會(huì)，但問(wèn)題是這六個(gè)月是沒(méi)有工資的并且在激烈的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)后20個(gè)人里面只有一個(gè)能留下來(lái)?？死锼贡仨毻瑫r(shí)應(yīng)付生計(jì)、照顧兒子和爭(zhēng)取工作這三個(gè)任務(wù)。但克里斯選擇積極面對(duì)，拼命打電話，積極學(xué)習(xí)并不斷提升自己。在他驚人的意志力和努力下，克里斯最終得到了那份工作，后來(lái)還自己開(kāi)了一家公司成為了百萬(wàn)富翁，從此和兒子過(guò)上了幸福的生活。

We may notice that there is a misspelling in “Happyness” in the title The Pursuit of Happiness. Actually， it was specially designed by the director to convey the theme of this inspiring movie. Chris found the mistake on the gate of Christophers daycare center and pointed out that there is no “Y” in Happiness， there is an “I”. Indeed， there is no “Why” in happiness， there is only “I” in it who is responsible for pursuing happiness in our life. In reality， we may meet many difficulties when we fight for our happiness. What we should do is not to give in to hardship. Instead， we should always have faith in ourselves， have faith in life and always keep it in mind that life will get better if we fight really hard for it. As the classical saying goes： “when the going gets tough7， the tough gets going.”

我們也許發(fā)現(xiàn)了標(biāo)題中有一個(gè)拼寫(xiě)錯(cuò)誤（Happyness）， 但其實(shí)這是導(dǎo)演專(zhuān)門(mén)設(shè)計(jì)用來(lái)揭示主題的?？死锼乖趦鹤油袃核拇箝T(mén)上發(fā)現(xiàn)了這個(gè)錯(cuò)誤并指出，幸福里沒(méi)有“Y”，幸福里只有“I”。確實(shí)，幸福沒(méi)有為什么（Y），幸福里只有自己。在追求幸福的道路上我們可能會(huì)碰到許多的困難，但我們不應(yīng)該向困難妥協(xié)而是應(yīng)該相信自己，相信生活，并且確信只要努力奮斗生活終將變得更好。就像那句名言說(shuō)的一樣：“當(dāng)前進(jìn)的路變得坎坷時(shí)，只有堅(jiān)毅的人才能挺過(guò)去?！?/p>
