一、引言

語料庫語言學 （Corpus Linguistics）是當代語言學的一門新興學科。它運用計算機手段對巨量的語言資源庫進行高速提取并準確顯示批量語言使用的實際情況，從而揭示語言使用的傾向性規(guī)律及其傳遞的意義功能及思想意識。本文主要講述如何在高中英語教學中利用語料庫作為輔助手段，來提高教學效率。

二、利用語料庫輔助高中英語寫作

許多學生在英語寫作中會出現(xiàn)一些共同的問題，即不知道應該選擇什么樣的詞匯，或者不知道單詞的具體搭配而導致句子出錯。

下面以高中英語一節(jié)寫作課為例，展示教師如何利用語料庫幫助學生迅速并準確地提取該語料庫的詞頻表及核心詞匯表，方便學生進行觀察、歸類、篩選與研究。最終達到提高句子表達的準確性以及提高學生的寫作水平的目的。

（一）語料庫在寫作訓練中的運用

教師把寫作課的課堂活動分為4個環(huán)節(jié)：1.呈現(xiàn)本節(jié)課的寫作任務(wù)。2.幫助學生明確寫作內(nèi)容，了解寫作目的。3.引導學生學會使用微型語料搜素與本節(jié)寫作課相關(guān)的信息。4.讓學生完成作文，并且進行自評。

作文題目如下：

假定你是李華，你的澳大利亞網(wǎng)友Rosemary因為沒有通過漢語水平等級考試 （the Chinese Proficiency Test）而情緒低落。請你給她發(fā)一封電子郵件給予安慰、提出建議并表達祝福。

首先老師引導學生進行審題，這是一封建議信。主要內(nèi)容如下：1.給予安慰；2.提出建議；3.表達祝愿。

人稱是第一和第二人稱為主。

時態(tài)是一般現(xiàn)在時、一般將來時為主。

分析了題目的主要內(nèi)容后，同學們了解到要寫好這篇文章應該掌握有關(guān)安慰、建議以及表達祝福的句型。老師可以提供自建的微型語料庫搜索寫作句型及詞匯。

第一段的要點是：給予安慰。

1.知道你現(xiàn)在……我也很難過

2.很多人都有類似經(jīng)歷，我完全理解……

3.不要過于擔憂。

簡單翻譯要點：

1.I’m sorry to hear that you couldn’t pass… I quite understand how you feel now.

2.I have similar experiences,so I can really relate to you at the moment.

3.Please don’t worry.

從本次作文題目交代的背景來看，澳大利亞網(wǎng)友Rosemary因沒有通過漢語水平等級考試而情緒低落。學生首先要考慮如何翻譯 “沒有通過”考試，除了用couldn’t pass外，還可以用fail,那么fail在句子中的搭配如何？如果學生不知道，可利用語料庫分別對fail與failed進行搜索。得出以下的信息。

從搜索結(jié)果可以得出fail在句子中的搭配：

1.fail to do sth.沒有，不能；

2.fail in （doing） sth.在……方面失??；

3.fail sth.不及格。

第二段：提出建議。

建議包括：如何面對失??？如何學好中文？

引導學生寫這部分的時候可以引用名言、諺語。

As the saying goes,failure is the mother of success.

…,no road of flowers leads toglory.

…,a man can be destroyed but not defeated.

…,what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

…,nothing is impossible to a willing heart.

…,where there is a will,there is a way.

提出建議時，如果學生對suggest的用法不熟悉。也可通過語料庫檢索，最終寫出正確而且地道的表達。

搜素的結(jié)果顯示suggest的用法如下：

1.suggest sb.for推薦（某職務(wù)的合適人選）；

2.suggest that sb(should)do；

3.It’s suggested that…

當學生熟悉了suggest的用法后，就會更準確地寫出對網(wǎng)友Rosemary表示建議的句子。如：

(1)I suggest that you should subscribe to a Chinese magazine or newspaperwhich caters to your needs.

(2) It’s suggested that you expose yourself to a Chinese learning environment,like reading more Chinese books and watching Chinese films.

第三段：表達祝愿。以下是相關(guān)的句型：

1.I’m in firm belief that so long as you are confident and learn from your failure,you can make greaterprogressin yourChinese studies and you’ll surely pass the Chinese Proficiency Test.

2.I strongly believe that you will make it someday in the near future.

3.I hope you will find these suggestions helpful/useful.

4.I hope my advice above will be of use to you.

5.I’m convinced that you can get through and hopefully you’ ll…

（二）運用語料庫輔助寫作的作品欣賞

學生根據(jù)老師及同學們整理的相關(guān)句型，并且借助語料庫搜索的相關(guān)信息，對寫作有了充分的準備，就可寫出較高質(zhì)量的文章。

優(yōu)秀習作一：Dear Rosemary,

I am sorry to hear that you’re currently in low spirits for you failed to pass the Chinese Proficiency Test.I can exactly feel how you feel.But it’s not the end of the world anyway.Pull yourself together,restore your faith and give it a second shot.

Learning Chinese is no easy task indeed.As a native speaker,I suggest that you should keep yourself immersed in Chinese materials including original works and songs,in which way you may cultivate a good sense for this fascinating language.And why not try to email me in Chinese next time?

As the saying goes,“After April showers come May flowers.” I will cross my fingers for you and wish you a satisfying outcome in advance.

優(yōu)秀習作二：

I’m sorry to hear that you failed to pass the Chinese Proficiency Test.I quite understand how you feel now.You are not alone.Everybody experiences failures of all kinds.

However,as an old saying goes,failure is the mother of success.So never give up learning Chinese though you failed this time.Besides,analyze the cause of your failure and try to make up for what you’re lacking in.At the same time,try your best to build up confidence,which is the key to doing anything well.

I’m in firm belief that so long as you are confident and learn from your failure,you can make greater progress in your Chinese studies and you’ll surely pass the Chinese Proficiency Test.

三、結(jié)語

資深的語料庫研究專家Sampson(2001)認為，迄今為止我們還只不過涉足到語料庫大海邊沿上的一點點小水泡。語料庫在輔助外語教學方面起到了重要的作用。語料庫提供了巨量的語言材料，真實自然、內(nèi)容豐富，能反映最鮮活的語言使用情況，對語言的使用范式也極富解釋力。在英語教學中，語料庫的使用體現(xiàn)了 “以學生為主體，以學習為中心，注重實踐，注重創(chuàng)新能力培養(yǎng)”的現(xiàn)代教育思想。運用語料庫輔助教學，更能培養(yǎng)學習者批評性思維能力，尤其是觀察批量語言信息并且對其相同性和相似性進行組合或歸類的能力?！颈疚臑閺V東省教研“十二五”規(guī)劃2015年度研究項目課題 “基于語料庫的高中英語寫作研究”的階段成果之一，課題編號：15JXN007】
