教學目標:

語言目標:

1、了解一些國家的飲食起居、生活習慣和文化異同,并用學習的知識表達自己對生活習慣的看法。

2、掌握一些與禮節(jié)、就餐等相關的詞和詞組。

3、加強對外國風俗和了解,擴大知識面。

知識目標:

1、掌握的詞匯和目標語言

be supposed to do; shake hands (with); drop by;

should have done sth; a bit; make plans to do sth/for sth

after all; pick up; point at, point to, point out的用法;

情感目標:

本單元以談論“習俗“為話題,了解各地不同的文化知識,從而讓學生知道哪些是應該做的,哪些是不應該做的,要學會尊重不同的文化,養(yǎng)成良好的行為習慣,培養(yǎng)學生的學習興趣。

教學重難點:

重點:be supposed to; be not supposed to

難點:感嘆句的兩種句式:

1、What a/an + adj. + n.(單數)+主語+謂語部分!

What + adj. + n.(復數)+ 主語+謂語部分!

What + adj. + n. (不可數)+ 主語 + 謂語部分!

2、How + adj./adv. +主語 + 謂語部分!

What a clever boy Tom is!

What beautiful flowers they got!

How quickly Lucy is running !

教學過程:

Step1 Greeting

Step2 Warm-up

Ss: suggestion

T: Is it a good idea to come to class late ?

S: No!

T: Thats right. Its not a good idea to come to class late. Youre not supposed to come to class late.

Ss: eat in class, do homework everyday, rise ones hand before talking,ect.

Step 3 Check

Show some flags of different countries on PPT screen and let students say the names.

e.g. T: which countrys flag is this?

Ss: America/China/Japan,ect.

T: what is she /he doing?

Ss: bowing; shaking hands/kissing,ect.

Step 4 Grammar focus

Should/be supposed to

You should do your homework→you are supposed to do homework.

Teacher shouldnt come to class late→teacher is not supposed to come to class late.

Step 5 Group work

What do people do when they meet for the first time in different countries?

e.g.A: In the United States, what do the people do when they meet for the first time?

B: In America, they are supposed to shake hands.

A: In Japan, what do the people do when they meet for the first time?

B: In Japan, they are supposed to bow.

A: In Brazil, what do people do when they meet for the first time?

B: In Brazil, people kiss each other when they meet.

A: What about China?

B:......

Step 6 presentation

Each group choose two students to share their work.

Step 7Summary

Teacher gives comments.

Step 8 Homework

Think about different countrys eating habits.
