The epidemic in Wuhan is a concern of people all over the world. Artists from many countries have chosen to cheer on Wuhan through artistic creations. In a recent exhibition held by Wuhan People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and New Zealand Hubei Economy Trade Culture Association, the works of famous foreign artists were presented as a tribute to cheer the city on.

Sophie Tedeschi, a famous French painter who has held a solo exhibition at the National Art Museum of China in the 1980s now presented two new paintings for the event.

Sophie has been giving lectures and holding exhibitions in universities, art schools and art galleries in China, including China University of Geosciences in Wuhan, Hubei Academy of Fine Arts, and Jianghan University. She has a deep affection for Chinese culture. After creating serials of Chinese New Year zodiac paintings forChangjiang Dailyfor 8 years, she is now considered an old friend of the people in Wuhan. Her special set of new works to cheer Wuhan displayed in the exhibition portrayed the fearless people combating the coronavirus.

武漢疫情牽動(dòng)著世界各國(guó)人民的心，多國(guó)藝術(shù)家選擇以藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作的方式為武漢加油。近期，由武漢市人民對(duì)外友好協(xié)會(huì)和新西蘭湖北經(jīng)貿(mào)文化協(xié)會(huì)主辦的抗疫文藝作品展上，便展出了由畫家索菲·特德斯基繪制的這樣兩幅作品。

索菲是法國(guó)著名女畫家，20世紀(jì)80年代曾在中國(guó)美術(shù)館舉辦個(gè)人畫展。此后在中國(guó)多個(gè)城市的美術(shù)院校和美術(shù)館進(jìn)行訪問(wèn)講學(xué)和辦展，曾在中國(guó)地質(zhì)大學(xué)（武漢）、湖北美術(shù)學(xué)院、江漢大學(xué)等高校講學(xué)辦展。她對(duì)中國(guó)文化有著深厚感情，曾堅(jiān)持8年為《長(zhǎng)江日?qǐng)?bào)》創(chuàng)作不同的新年生肖畫作，是武漢人民的老朋友。近日，她專門創(chuàng)作新作，把武漢人民抗擊疫情的大無(wú)畏精神描繪出來(lái)，為武漢人民加油。

Md. Ibrahim, a Bangladeshi student who had left China because of an exhibition tour, also hopes to use art to express his deep affection for Wuhan and those who offered their help. Although he couldn’t return to Wuhan because of the lockdown, the city was always on his mind, and inspired him to create 4 new paintings.

According to him, “This project is about the epidemic in Wuhan.I love Wuhan. This city is my second home. People in Wuhan have been hit hard by this deadly virus. I think in this situation, all the doctors, nurses, volunteers, and workers are the real heroes and their efforts should not be forgotten. As the coronavirus spreads across the country, everyone with suspicious symptoms are carefully tended to by doctors and nurses. They make quick and accurate diagnosis, saving not only their patients’ lives, but also their own. This is why I focused on them in my works.”

Braveheart-2 by Md. Ibrahim [Bangladesh]《勇敢的心》之二[孟加拉] 易卜This painting shows a cleaner doing her duty during the epidemic. She is an example of all the workers and volunteers. They are serving the whole nation during this epidemic.在疫病流行期間，一個(gè)清潔工在盡她的職責(zé)。她是所有工人和志愿者的榜樣。疫情期間，所有工人和志愿者為全國(guó)人民進(jìn)行服務(wù)。

同樣希望借用藝術(shù)的力量表達(dá)情感的還有因?yàn)榕e辦畫展而身處海外的孟加拉留學(xué)生易卜。雖然因?yàn)榉獬?，他無(wú)法回到武漢，但他仍然時(shí)刻牽掛著這里，并專門繪制了四幅作品。

他說(shuō)：“這些作品以武漢市新型冠狀病毒肺炎疫情為主題。我愛(ài)武漢。武漢是我的第二個(gè)家。武漢人民遭受了致命病毒的打擊。在這種情況下，所有醫(yī)生、護(hù)士、志愿者和工作人員是真正的英雄，他們的貢獻(xiàn)令人難忘。隨著冠狀病毒在全國(guó)蔓延，醫(yī)生和護(hù)士對(duì)每一個(gè)咳嗽著走進(jìn)門的人保持高度緊張和關(guān)注，他們迅速做出準(zhǔn)確的診斷，不僅拯救病人的生命，也拯救他們自己的生命。這就是為什么我的作品專注于他們的貢獻(xiàn)。”

But luckily, the situation is now under control. All of the doctors, nurses, and health institutions are working hard to help Wuhan recover.在這幅畫中，我畫了一些愛(ài)護(hù)心靈的醫(yī)生。其實(shí)，這顆心是可愛(ài)的武漢，中國(guó)疫情中心。武漢市曾是新型冠狀病毒感染最嚴(yán)重的城市，但現(xiàn)在武漢控制住了疫情。所有醫(yī)生、護(hù)士和衛(wèi)生機(jī)構(gòu)都在為武漢人民的康復(fù)而努力。每個(gè)人都用自己的力量照顧著武漢市，并努力重建這座城市。

The doctor knows his job is highly risky but still sticks to his duty. Some of the medics were infected with the coronavirus, and some even died. But they never gave up. They are real heroes and patriots.在這幅畫中，醫(yī)生照顧著嚴(yán)重的病人。所有的醫(yī)生和護(hù)士都像他一樣一直在為病人服務(wù)。即使醫(yī)生知道他可能被感染，但他恪守他的職責(zé)。一些醫(yī)生和護(hù)士被新冠病毒感染，甚至有人死于這種病毒，但他們從未放棄。他們是真正的英雄和愛(ài)國(guó)者。
