中文教育,我的命運

1996年是我與中文結緣的開始。那一年我父親到烏茲別克斯坦共和國駐華大使館擔任參贊,由此我開始學習中文。那時候,學習中文的人并不多,所以要去中國學習的消息令我頗為意外。走下飛機時,我突然意識到這將開始轉變我的命運。面對中國人友好的微笑和好奇的目光,被當作外國人的新奇體驗讓我倍感愉悅。

1996 marked my first encounter with Chineseculture. In that year, my father was appointedas Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic ofUzbekistan in China, which prompted me to startlearning Chinese. At the time, Chinese was notwidely studied, and the decision to study in Chinawas a new departure for me. As I stepped off theplane, I had a strong sense that my life was aboutto change; the warm smiles and curious looks fromlocal people, along with the excitement of being seenas a foreigner, filled me with joy.

在到達的第二天,爸爸帶我去了友誼商店。我在商店里看到很多從沒見過的商品,最令我感到驚訝的是,這里竟然能“殺價”——父親說:“不管銷售員報價多少錢,你只要說出自己心儀的價格。如果對方不同意你就走,他們多數會叫你回來,并以你提出的價格成交?!逼鸪跷也缓靡馑級旱蛢r格,但后來我學會了“殺價”技能,半年后,附近的銷售員看到來自烏茲別克斯坦的女學生都會直接報出合理的價格。

Two days after our arrival, my father took me tothe Friendship Store, where I discovered a myriadof unfamiliar goods. What surprised me most herewas the concept of bargaining; my father advised:“No matter what the salesperson asks, just offeryour price. If they refuse, walk away; they might justcall you back and accept your offer.” Initially, I feltawkward negotiating, but I soon mastered the “art” ofhaggling; within six months, I became known amongthe local vendors as “the Uzbekistani girl who alwaysoffered fair prices.”

后來,我開始在北京第二外國語學院學習中文。我們小組聚集了來自世界不同國家的同學,有很多人第一次聽說烏茲別克斯坦,這令我有些失落,于是我參加了第一屆外國學生寫作比賽,并寫了一篇文章介紹我國最美麗的城市:撒馬爾罕和布哈拉。我的文章獲得了一等獎,在學院電臺播放了整整一個月,不少人漸漸開始認識我的祖國。不久之后,我國的足球隊對陣中國足球隊。這場比賽之后,在市場、商店和餐館,烏茲別克斯坦對大家來說不再是個陌生的國名,這使我意識到,文化和運動所具有的無形傳播力是巨大的。

I later began studying Chinese at Beijing InternationalStudies University (BISU), where I joined adiverse group of international students; many wereunfamiliar with Uzbekistan, which I found quitediscouraging. I decided to participate in BISU’s firstforeign students’ writing competition, composing anarticle about the beautiful Uzbek cities of Samarkandand Bukhara. My piece won first prize and wasfeatured by the university’s radio station for a month,which helped to raise awareness of Uzbekistan.My country’s visibility increased further when theUzbek national football team played against China;following the match, Uzbekistan gained recognitionin local markets, shops, and restaurants, highlightingthe powerful role of cultural and sports exchanges inbridging gaps between nations.

如果將中國文化比作一塊珍貴的寶石,寶石的面越多,它就越閃耀。在我看來,中國文化就是如此。從從容不迫地倒茶,到中國商人充滿希望的微笑,再到老一輩的教誨等都可以感受到中國文化。中國文化之所以吸引人,是因為它看起來豐富多樣,但本質上是簡單純粹的。正如中國諺語所說“寧靜致遠”,意思是心境安寧,才能達成遠大的目標,這句哲學格言非常接近中國人的文化精神。

If Chinese culture is compared to a preciousgem, the more facets it has, the brighter it shines; forme, this analogy perfectly captures the essence ofChinese culture. From the leisure art of pouring teato the hopeful expressions of merchants and the wisdomshared by elders, every aspect reflects the deeproots of this culture. Its richness lies in its diversity,yet at its core, it is simple and pure. As suggestedby the Chinese proverb ningjing-zhiyuan (meaning“tranquility leads to far-reaching achievements” or“a serene mind is crucial for achieving significantgoals”). This saying beautifully encapsulates the cultural spirit of the Chinesepeople.

在我看來,中國文化還有一個非常重要的特征就是對歷史的尊重與傳承。如果問一個中國人關于他祖先的問題,他通常能講出有關他家族幾代人的信息,這正是中國文化代代傳承的體現(xiàn)。

In my view, another keycharacteristic of Chineseculture is its deep respect forand preservation of history.If a Chinese person is askedabout his ancestors, he is likelyto recount the heritage ofseveral generations, demonstrating the continuity ofChinese culture.

我對學習中文真正產生興趣是因為我優(yōu)秀的中文老師。我的第一位老師來自北京第二外國語學院,他幫助我打下了中文基礎,指導我的發(fā)音,不厭其煩地教我正確書寫漢字,我非常感激他。我的第二位老師是中央民族大學的胡振華教授,著名的“一帶一路”沿線語言教學專家,他激發(fā)了我對撰寫學術論文的興趣。回到烏茲別克斯坦后,我繼續(xù)在塔什干國立東方學研究所學習,命運讓我遇到了我的第三位老師——烏茲別克斯坦?jié)h學學校的奠基人、教授卡里莫夫 · 阿克蘭 · 阿比利耶維奇。在他的指導下,我成功完成了我的博士論文《現(xiàn)代漢語外交術語的詞匯語義和結構特點》。我最重要的老師,也是我的父親——哈希莫夫 · 阿卜杜拉 · 舒庫爾拉耶維奇,至今仍然支持我,并給予我正確的方向。我現(xiàn)在的漢語所學所得都歸功于他!

My passion for learning Chinese was sparked bymy exceptional teachers; my first mentor from BISUhelped me lay the groundwork, teaching me basicChinese, honing my pronunciation, and guiding methrough the intricacies of writing Chinese characters,and I am immensely grateful to him. My interest inacademic writing was sparked by my second teacher,Professor Hu Zhenhua from Minzu University ofChina, a distinguished expert in language educationalong the Belt and Road routes. Back in Uzbekistan,my studies continued under the guidance of Associate Professor Karimov Akram Abilbekov atthe Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies. As apioneer of the Uzbek Sinology School, he steered methrough my doctoral thesis titled “Lexical Semanticsand Structural Characteristics of Modern ChineseDiplomatic Terminology.” However, the mostinfluential figure in my learning journey has beenmy father, Khashimov Abdullah Shukurlaevich, whocontinues to guide and support me; I owe everythingI know about Chinese today to his unfalteringencouragement.

如今我擔任塔什干國立東方大學孔子學院的外方院長,這是我人生至關重要的經歷之一。該孔院于2004年成立,是中亞地區(qū)第一所孔子學院,目前有18名中文教師,其中8名是中國教師和志愿者,另外10名是塔什干國立東方大學的教師。該孔院成立以來大約有8 000名學員接受過培訓。在完成1—2年的學習后,學員可以參加HSK和HSKK考試,成功通過的學員還有機會到中國優(yōu)秀的大學深造學習,并獲得獎學金資助。此外,該孔院還開展了一系列文化活動。在近兩年時間里,孔院的學生人數增加了兩倍。隨著烏茲別克斯坦國內掀起的“中文熱”,我們開設了面向低齡孩子的課程。在各方的支持下,孔院有了更大的教學場所,配備了必要的教學設備,教學條件得到極大的改善。

Today, I am honored to serve as Local Directorof the Confucius Institute at the Tashkent StateUniversity of Oriental Studies, a role which has profoundly shaped my life. Established in 2004, itwas the first Confucius Institute in Central Asia.The organization currently has a team of 18 Chineseteachers, including eight teachers and volunteersfrom China, and ten local instructors from theuniversity; since its inception, the Institute hastrained some 8,000 students. After one to two yearsof study, students are prepared to take the HSK andHSKK examinations. Successful candidates oftencontinue their education at prestigious Chineseuniversities, supported by scholarships. The Institutealso hosts a variety of cultural events. Over the pasttwo years, student enrollment has doubled, fueled bythe growing “Chinese fever” in Uzbekistan; we haverecently launched courses for younger children and,thanks to generous support, have moved to a larger,well-equipped facility, significantly enhancing ourteaching environment.

早在公元前2世紀,中國就通過“絲綢之路”與中亞國家建立了密切的聯(lián)系。烏茲別克斯坦和中國一直在平等互利的基礎上努力擴大各領域的合作。2016年6月22日,我們有幸在孔院接待了烏茲別克斯坦和中國國家元首。彭麗媛女士為我們圖書館捐贈了一批新的教科書。我們永遠不會忘記彭麗媛女士在孔院大廳觀看歡迎音樂會時燦爛的笑容。2016年12月,在全球孔子學院大會上,時任中國國務院副總理劉延東向我們孔院頒發(fā)了“先進孔子學院”獎章和證書。2017年5月6日,孔院榮幸地接待了烏茲別克斯坦共和國現(xiàn)任國家元首夫人的訪問。

China’s ties with Central Asiadate back to the 2nd century BC viathe “Silk Road,” while Uzbekistan’sconnect ions wi th China havestrengthened over time, focusing onequality and mutual benefit. On June22nd, 2016, we were privileged towelcome the Presidents of Uzbekistanand China to our Institute. Duringthis visit, Madame Peng Liyuandonated a collection of new textbooksto our library, with her warm smileduring the welcome concert at theinstitute auditorium leaving a lastingimpression on us all. In December2016 at the Confucius InstituteConference, the then Chinese Vice Premier LiuYandong awarded us the “Confucius Institute of theYear” medal and certificate. On May 6th, 2017, wewere honored to host a visit from the current FirstLady of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

中文教育不僅帶給我現(xiàn)在的社會定位,更成為我自信前行的力量源泉。它讓我有幸在多個領域發(fā)光發(fā)熱。我希望,中文教育還會在我的職業(yè)生涯中給我?guī)砀嘈腋5臅r刻。

My career in Chinese language education hasboth established my position in society and becomea cornerstone of my confidence, enabling me to excelin various capacities. I look forward to the continuedjoy and enrichment that Chinese language educationbrings to my career.
