初探設(shè)計(jì)高職英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)微課Showing Directions的路徑

【摘要】 本文總結(jié)了作者在初次探索設(shè)計(jì)高職大學(xué)英語(yǔ)微課的過(guò)程中,以英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)Showing Directions(指路)為主題,主要使用PPT、flash和Camtasia Studio軟件,鏈接制作微課視頻終極版及附屬材料的整個(gè)過(guò)程。

作為一名常年活躍在高職大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)一線(xiàn)的專(zhuān)業(yè)技術(shù)人員,根據(jù)接收到的再繼續(xù)教育學(xué)習(xí)培訓(xùn),我把我所理解的微課的意義糅合到人才規(guī)劃和教學(xué)計(jì)劃中,基于所用教材,產(chǎn)生了制作一個(gè)高職英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)微課的想法。主要路徑如下。

1 定主題。初次接觸微課這樣一種新鮮形式,我決定先選一個(gè)簡(jiǎn)單的主題練手。目前我所使用的教材是高等教育出版社出版的New Practical English Comprehensive Course(新編實(shí)用英語(yǔ)綜合教程)第三版,翻閱考慮后,選用第三單元Road Signs and Commuting第一部分Talking Face to Face為基礎(chǔ)素材,于是定微課作品的主題是Showing Directions(如何用英語(yǔ)指路)。教學(xué)對(duì)象是面向高職各專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)生,所屬話(huà)題是英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ),教學(xué)重點(diǎn)是使學(xué)生掌握指路的有關(guān)詞匯短語(yǔ)句型,能夠用英語(yǔ)熟練地描述路線(xiàn)。

2 教學(xué)過(guò)程設(shè)計(jì)。從能夠激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣為前提,收集與下載圖像元素,如文本、圖片、音頻文件、視頻文件、flash文件等。構(gòu)思微課最終所使用的材料,基于開(kāi)發(fā)路線(xiàn)撰寫(xiě)教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)腳本。準(zhǔn)確拿捏整個(gè)微課視頻的節(jié)奏,計(jì)劃微課視頻總時(shí)長(zhǎng)大約在5分鐘左右。

3 課件制作。接著設(shè)計(jì)精美實(shí)用的PPT課件,這是設(shè)計(jì)微課的關(guān)鍵步驟,主要使用課件模板、PPT動(dòng)畫(huà)、flash動(dòng)畫(huà),確定PPT課件使用16:9的比例。

3.1 動(dòng)態(tài)進(jìn)入主題(20秒)。Hello, everyone. I will introduce how to show directions.

3.2 展示對(duì)話(huà)—問(wèn)路指路的場(chǎng)景Asking How to Get to the Underground Station(flash動(dòng)畫(huà),1分鐘)

A: Excuse me. Could you tell me the way to the underground station? B:OK, er…go…turn…left…er, sorry, I don’t know how to say. C: Well, go down this street and turn right at the traffic lights. A: Right at the traffic lights. C: Yes. You'll see the underground station when you get there. B: Though I know the way, but I don’t know how to express myself in English, it’s so awkward. C: I’ll teach you to show directions in English. First of all, you start to recognize these words and phrases showing directions.

3.3 Words and phrases(PPT和flash動(dòng)畫(huà),1分20秒). Let’s look at these pictures.

go down…, go straight(on),turn left, take the first right, at the corner, at the crossroads, at the traffic lights, go across the crossing, go across the street

When you are driving, you may talk about parking lot, flyover, roundabout, exit.

3.4 Describing the location (PPT,40秒). Then you should describe the location correctly when showing directions. And pay attention use right prepositions.

Police station is on Shanghai Road. Police station is beside the supermarket. Police station is on the opposite side of supermarket.

3.5 This is a street map, and it is very useful for giving and understanding directions. Let’s see the following scene.(2分鐘)I don’t live far away from the museum where I work. You know I live in an apartment on Wynn Street and the museum is on Low Street.

3.5.1 I usually drive my car up Hall Street and park the car behind the church. Then I walk over to the museum.

3.5.2 Well, in winter when it snows, I‘d rather not drive. I take the underground from Wynn Street to Low Street. Then I walk across from Low Street station to the museum. It is convenient.

3.5.3 I can take Bus No. 16, too. The bus stop is just opposite my apartment. The bus turns from Hall Street into Church Street. I get off at the corner of Church Street and Low Street and walk to the museum.

3.6 Road Sign(38秒)B: Thank you, I’ll comprehend and practice these words and sentences. C: You are welcome. Besides, you can remind them to take notice of road signs when finding the way.

3.7 So much for showing directions. Thank you.

4 視頻錄制、后期加工、視頻輸出。再然后將PPT用錄屏軟件進(jìn)行錄制呈現(xiàn)教學(xué)過(guò)程,我是使用的Camtasia Studio軟件。在后期加工中,首先需要對(duì)微課視頻片段進(jìn)行剪輯,使其連貫、合理;其次制作特效,如使用flash動(dòng)畫(huà)、畫(huà)面的轉(zhuǎn)場(chǎng)效果、淡入淡出;接著錄制添加音頻,我的整個(gè)微課音頻解說(shuō)由三個(gè)人來(lái)完成錄制,并添加編輯字幕;最后用該軟件生成微課視頻mp4終極版,這個(gè)視頻教學(xué)總時(shí)長(zhǎng)為5分58秒。

5微練習(xí)Exercise:If I am at the bus stop of the Hall Street, could you tell me how to the museum?

此微課作品旨在展示用英語(yǔ)指路的口語(yǔ)應(yīng)用。特點(diǎn)在于由一段三人對(duì)話(huà)連接始末,中間的講授部分也是其中一人的臺(tái)詞,這樣從頭到尾就顯得非常流暢緊湊,環(huán)環(huán)相扣。其中大量運(yùn)用了flash動(dòng)畫(huà),在生動(dòng)活潑的氛圍中有效地輔助了微課的展開(kāi)。
