學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語就像要在一棵果樹樹上結(jié)出果子一樣,果子要想長得又大又好,它得有豐富的營養(yǎng)。英語書好像土壤,精彩的課外閱讀就好像營養(yǎng)品,它能使我們的英語學(xué)習(xí)添上美麗的光環(huán)。
一、閱讀自仿課文,創(chuàng)意無間
在《牛津小學(xué)英語6A》 unit1
In the park
Wang Bing: There are a lot of signs here, Liu Tao.
Liu Tao: Yes. They're public signs. Different signs mean different things.
Wang Bing: There's a sign under the peach tree. What does it mean?
Liu Tao: It means 'No climbing'.
Wang Bing: Look, there's a sign on the bin. It's very nice. What does it mean?
Liu Tao: It means 'No littering'. We shouldn't litter here.
Wang Bing: The sign near the small river is interesting. What does it mean?
Liu Tao: It means 'No fishing'. We shouldn't fish here.
Wang Bing: Can I swim here?
Liu Tao: No, you can't. You must stay away from the river.
Wang Bing: Now I know a lot about public signs. Thank you.
Liu Tao: Not at all. Let's go home now.
Wang Bing: OK. Let's go.
從學(xué)生編寫的對話中可以看出情節(jié)合理,恰當(dāng)?shù)倪\(yùn)用了所學(xué)句型,而且自寫了標(biāo)志語“No fishing” ,強(qiáng)調(diào)了安全“ You must stay away from the river.”。由此可見,學(xué)生對所學(xué)內(nèi)容已能融會(huì)貫通,編寫的對話已經(jīng)有了較好的造詣,完全可供相互閱讀。在班級(jí)中,可挑選出較好的出一期班級(jí)小報(bào),學(xué)生對自己編寫的對話有著很高的熱情與興趣去讀,既拓展了視野,又豐富了知識(shí)。
二、閱讀自創(chuàng)小短文,樂趣無窮
英語書中比較貼近生活的主題較多,如牛津小學(xué)英語6B中:Unit 5
The weather in Dongtai
Dongtai is a beautiful town. In spring, the trees turn green and the flowers start to grow. Its warm and sunny in spring, sometimes its rainy. We like flying kites. In summer, Its hot and sunny. It often rains too. We should take our umbrella. People usually swim in the rivers. Autumn is the best season in Dongtai, its cool, windy and cloudy. The leaves turn yellow, Its so beautiful.
But, I like winter best. Because its cold but it usually snows. We can make snowmen with our friends, Its great fun!

學(xué)生寫的小短文單詞數(shù)已達(dá)到100個(gè)以上,既貼近課本又高于課本。課后教師整理打印出學(xué)生們的文章,配以插圖張貼于教室,一次自創(chuàng)小短文形成了優(yōu)秀的閱讀材料。從寫草稿到形成鉛字再到閱讀,學(xué)生感受到了無窮的樂趣。
三、閱讀自選材料,魅力無限
在班級(jí)開展“今天我做主”的主題活動(dòng),每周安排五個(gè)人先與大家互動(dòng),再引導(dǎo)大家來閱讀自己找的材料。
The Wolf and the Lamb
Once upon a time a Wolf was lapping at a spring on a hillside, when, looking up, what should he see but a Lamb just beginning to drink a little lower down. "Theres my supper," thought he, "if only I can find some excuse to seize it."
學(xué)生找了語文里學(xué)過的小故事《狼和小羊》內(nèi)容熟悉,生詞也不多,能看得懂。學(xué)生自己找的材料既符合他的年齡特點(diǎn),又符合他的閱讀能力。所以學(xué)生自己找的材料價(jià)值要遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)高于老師給他安排的。
自仿的課文,自創(chuàng)的小短文,自選的材料構(gòu)成的精彩的閱讀材料,它精彩在學(xué)生主動(dòng)去創(chuàng)作,去尋找;它精彩在內(nèi)容高于課本,卻適合學(xué)生去閱讀;它精彩在形成材料的過程中培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生創(chuàng)新能力、學(xué)習(xí)興趣,提高了學(xué)生的閱讀興趣與能力。
