申請信主要用于求職、求學(xué)、申請獎學(xué)金等。申請人的語氣既要自信又要禮貌，需恰如其分。信件內(nèi)容應(yīng)寫得簡明流暢，言簡意賅。申請信包括三個部分：（1）說明寫信目的（申請?jiān)颍?；?）介紹自己（教育背景、興趣愛好、特長等）；（3）表達(dá)請求和盼復(fù)。并可根據(jù)寫作的具體要求，留下自己的聯(lián)系方式。

（1）I am writing to apply for a fellowship in your university.我寫信來是想申請貴校的獎學(xué)金。
